this is solved.

So I contacted my web host tech support (thanks lithium hosting!) and it turns out I had to change my .htaccess, php.ini and user.ini files.

So I enabled php 7.2 for https://www.themixedsix.com/ with powerpress active and the main site works but the wordpress admin panel does not work when I am logged in https://www.themixedsix.com/wp-admin/

I disabled the plugin WP Fastest Cache and it works properly, so its some kind of problem with that.

So is there a solution to this other than “Don’t use this plugin?”

oops I forgot to disable the plugin in the plugin menu. That fixes it.

I just turned it off and it still gave me the same error.

According to my settings with the powerpress plugin, this should be my artwork URL https://slangdesign.com/rppr/wp-content/uploads/powerpress/RPPR-Logo-3000-v2.jpg

Is there a way to whitelist that particular image so it is not touched by fastest cache?

I am using a cache plugin with max CDN to speed up my website. Maybe that’s the source of the error?

All right – I changed the feed to the Podcast Mirror version https://feeds.podcastmirror.com/rppr which does validate to iTunes. Now there’s a new error for the artwork when I tried to validate it with https://podba.se/validate/?url=https://feeds.podcastmirror.com/rppr

“The cover art must be 1,400–3,000 pixels square to look good on fancy retina-class displays.

Darn, I wasn’t able to retrieve the image (got a “getimagesize(//rppr.0kjmb2e.maxcdn-edge.com/wp-content/uploads/powerpress/RPPR-Logo-3000-v2.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory” error). If you’re sure it’s there, please report using the “?” in the lower-right corner.”

I don’t want to alter existing episodes. I want to create a new feed that lists the episodes in a different order. Is that not possible?

Bumping this because I am getting the same thing with iTunes and my site – I run a podcast on this site and I have to manually refresh the cache to get the latest episode to show on RSS.

That’s what I wound up doing too. Seems to have worked.

I have a few sites on the same server – I got the 400 error on https://actualplay.roleplayingpublicradio.com/ but I also have problems with https://www.dammingtheosage.com/

I haven’t checked the other sites yet for this problem.

Now I am getting this error when I try to refresh the connection to twitter:

An invalid request was made. This normally means that something intercepted or corrupted the request from your server to the Jetpack Server. Try again and see if it works this time.

Error code: 400

I tried to connect again and it seemed to work.
