I checked out your site and that’s exactly what I want to do. How did you get the “test blog” link on your front page and then get it to link back to the blog?

Okay, now I hope my next question/statement makes sense.

I’ve created the new page (static page) and called it “Home”. I created my “posts” page and called it “Blog”. Now, when I go to the link for my site, it takes me to the static page (front page), which, is exactly what I want. In the menu to the right, my blog page is listed and when I click it, it takes me to my blog page, again, just like I want it to do. On my static page that I titled “Home”, it has Home in the text area. Is there a way to create the static page and not have it show Home in the text area where I would rather type my static text that I want on my front page? Did I just confuse the heck out of you? ?? I want the page link to the right to state “Home” but I don’t want the static page to say “Home” on it.

hmmm…I tried this but the link takes me to the front page (static page) of my site. Not sure what the link to my blog would then be.

Is it as simple as just creating a link back to the blog page?

actually, i did search but didn’t find that. thank you for the links….they were very helpful. i always google my questions before asking in a forum.

is there a reason why you replied in this manner? i didn’t mean to offend anyone. since i’m new to wordpress, i thought it might help to ask the question on the forum since i couldn’t find any info when i googled it.

Well, since there has been no reply, I think I’ll give it a shot. The worst thing that can happen is that it won’t work out and I can go back to Joomla or Drupal.

This is a great looking site! I just posted a question about using WP as a CMS for my business site. Looking at your site answered that question. Now, I just need to figure out how to do all this.
