In reply to: [Simple Social Icons] Random Icons – Not showing the correct LogosAmazing response time!! Maybe this link will work better:
Here’s a link to the site which is in development:

Scroll to the bottom of the page in the footer area and you’ll see the orange icons.
Thanks for your time!
@ultimate Member, I agree!
I think @masterreny is probably the only person in the world that would prefer to use software that isn’t being actively developed.
He’s probably Microsoft’s #1 fan. Lol!!
You’re welcome.

1. You need to buy the developer license for Gravity Forms which isn’t cheap, but it’s worth every penny (and no, I don’t work for them). The reason you need the dev license is bc of the addons that are available:
Click here to compare the three licenses
2. Once you have Gravity Forms installed on your site, you need to also install a few of the addons. The one that’s essential is the User Registration addon. In regard to your payment gateway, you can use Stripe, Authorize.net, or Paypal (Stripe is a much better option than the other two in my opinion).
3. Once you have taken care of the steps above, simply remove the default Ultimate Member registration form from your Register page and insert the Gravity Forms registration form in it’s place.
4. You’re done.
I had to remove the shortcode out of the Text widget because the login form always shows – even to members that are logged in. :/
When your team is planning on creating the login widget, I highly recommend that you download Profile Builder by Cozmoslabs. It’s the best sidebar login widget I’ve ever used (by a long shot).
If I could add a screenshot to show you, I would.
I actually removed Groups and went into Dashboard > Plugins > Add New to install Members by Justin Tadlock. In the search, I typed members and of course Members by Justin Tadlock is the first result.
After clicking “Install Now,” theres a couple second delay while the browser loads the request and I saw Ultimate Member out of the corner of my eye (it’s on the first column, third row).
After activating Members, I went back to the plugin search and typed members again. As expected, there was Ultimate Member.
Best decision I’ve made all week. ??
Would you mind doing me a favor?
Under your FAQ, please add these two answers to what I would consider questions that will be frequently asked by your users:
1. Login Widget: There’s currently no login widget but if you go to Dashboard > Widgets > and find the “Text” widget, you can insert the login shortcode that Ultimate Member creates and the login form will show in the sidebar.
Although your team should definitely create a Login Widget, this is a nice workaround for the time being. It will also minimize the question in your forum. ??
2. Paid Registration: There’s currently no paid registration add-on’s but as I explained, you can always use Gravity Forms to create a paid registration form (mind you, you shouldn’t use the default Ultimate Member registration form anywhere on your site if you choose to go this route), and use Ultimate Member to handle everything else.
Thoughts?
Btw, I just used Gravity Forms as my registration form which is hooked up to Stripe and also has the ability to add new users upon submission to any role you want (Mine is currently set to Subscriber). I was nervous to see if new users would be added into Ultimate Member (the final step to see if Ultimate Member is the perfect plugin for my needs) and it worked perfectly without me doing anything!
I couldn’t be happier that I found your plugin!!
The reason I’m writing this is for any of your users that need a paid registration form. Until you’re able to create the payment gateway add-on’s, you can suggest that they use Gravity Forms for their registration form, and use Ultimate Member to handle everything else.
Just wanted to throw that out there.
Have a great day and thanks again!
Love it!
Cheers!
You guys are rockstars! Thank you for such a prompt reply and I’m so happy that I found your plugin. I actually just left you a review.
I have zero doubt that your team is going to quickly become the front runner for WordPress Content Protection / Membership plugins. If you already had a paid Stripe add-on, you guys would be well on your way to putting the big boys out of business. ??
My only recommendation is that you don’t remove any of the core functionality that’s already present to create paid extensions. In other words, please don’t dumb down what you already offer for free once you start creating paid add-ons.
If one of your users needs Pay Gate / Autoresponder functionality, I think it’s more than fair to take the WooCommerce / Easy Digital Downloads approach.
Thanks again for your reply and for deciding to take over the WordPress content protection market. Job well done.
I’ve actually had a chance to dig into this plugin and all I can say is WOW!!
@omigosh, I think it’s great that you changed your review / rating. However, this plugin is good enough to receive six stars out of five so I don’t think a four star rating is really fair (and no, I’m not one of the creators of this plugin).
If you were looking for a content protection plugin with front end login / register / reset password / edit account functionality, this is hands down the best WordPress plugin ever created to handle those tasks.
For example, I was able to remove all of these plugins from my site because Ultimate Member literally replaces their specific functionality (and it does it better than these specific plugins too):
Profile Builder Pro: For front end login / register / reset password / edit account functionality (This is a $140 plugin btw).
BAW Login/Logout menu: For adding a Logout link to my menu.
Nav Menu Roles: For controlling what menu items are available to logged in / logged out users.
Groups: For my content protection functionality.
Groups 404 Redirect: Because Groups is an incomplete plugin. Please, please, please reconsider your four star rating. And please, please, please don’t hate me.
Cheers
Hi sareiodata,
I wanted to reach out to let you know that I’ve changed my mind about your plugin. With the CSS you provided above, your plugin has to be the best of it’s kind for WordPress. Hands down (and I’ve tried everything).
Just to give you an idea of what I was able to accomplish with your plugin, please check the links below. I added a little more CSS to achieve the styling I wanted, but after changing the CSS to inline-block, the bullet points are gone and your plugin is downright awesome.
At this point, the only thing I would recommend to make it perfect is to:
1. Make the labels “align top” by default with the “Load Profile Builder’s own CSS file in the front-end” enabled.
2. Ship the plugin with inline-block in your CSS so that there aren’t bullet points.
3. (This is just a bonus) copy Gravity Forms and allow your users to choose between: Top Aligned, Left Aligned, Right Aligned under Profile Builder > General Settings.Other than that, it’s a stellar piece of software. Well done.

https://jjfainc.com/edit-account/ (You must be logged in to edit your profile)Lol!!! @omigosh’s review just blew my mind!! That’s like me downloading an email client for my Mac and then complaining that it doesn’t work like Photoshop… You’re joking right? I personally think you should remove your review/rating bc your comment is downright ridiculous.

In reply to: [Groups] Why are there 404 errors on Protected PagesThe Groups 404 Redirect is what we found as a solution for protecting your pages correctly. And you’re correct, yesterday the dev’s website was down yesterday, but today it seems to be back up:
https://www.itthinx.com/documentation/groups/
The way the Groups 404 Redirect plugin works isn’t intuitive (and neither is the Groups plugin in general but that’s an issue with most dev teams – they’re not good at UI/UX whatsoever). I personally think this functionality needs to be built into the core Groups plugin by default. If I were the developer – this is a no brainer.
Here’s how it works:
1. You need to create your own page (we called ours Membership Required) and add the text that you want to display similar to this:
“The page you were trying to access is available to members only. Please login or register in order to view the contents. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
Here’s an example: https://jjfainc.com/membership-required/
After styling the page to your liking and saving the new Membership Required page (or whatever you call yours), you’re going to need to find the page ID which I’ll explain in step #2.
2. To find the page ID, in the WP Dashboard under Pages > Membership Required (or whatever you call yours), look up in the URL bar and you’ll see something similar to this:
https://jjfainc.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=2874&action=edit
The number you need is the 2874 (Yours will be different). Copy this out of that URL and move on to step #3:
https://jjfainc.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=2874&action=edit
3. Open the Groups 404 Redirect plugin settings and you’ll see three options:
A. Redirect to a page or post
B. Redirect to the WordPress login
C. Redirect restricted categories, tags and taxonomy terms …Make sure option A (Redirect to a page or post) is selected and that options B and C are NOT selected. The page ID you copied out of step #2 needs to be inserted in the Page or Post ID box under the Redirect to a page or post option.
4. You’re done.
Please try this out and reply to this post to let me know if it works. If so, great…
If not, I’m here to help.
Cheers,
