In reply to: Bunch of stuff Not Working.I’d try sexy bookmarks by sharaholic, or the one built into jetpack. There are plenty of fish in the sea.

In reply to: Publish Immediately ProblemsFirst thing to try is deactivating all plugins and reactivating them one at at time until you find the culprit. Something is interfering with your css (unless you have an old theme that is also messing with styles.)

In reply to: Bunch of stuff Not Working. So you definitely have a javascript conflict. Have you tried turning all plugins off and reactivating them one at at time to determine which one is the problem?

In reply to: Best option to create microsites? The easiest way to get there is by using https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/minimu/. Page templates only work for pages, not posts, so as long as you don’t want a blog on any of those sub-sites, you could use page templates, but you’d still have to write the css to make it display exactly as you want it. MiniMu will allow you to use different themes for different sub-sites, so it seems like the ideal fix for your situation.

In reply to: Greyzed theme sub-menu not functioningI believe you have a theme bug then. The error has to either be in the php, or your usage of the menu system. Sounds like you’re doing things right (You may want to watch this to be sure though) so it has to be calling the menu incorrectly. I don’t have access to the theme files, so I can’t be sure.

In reply to: Please help!! Need to reinstall wordpressThose secret keys are in your wp-config file which you will need to access through ftp. The mysql users password and the ftp password will need to be reset from the cpanel. You’ll want to do some reading on your hosts forums on how to change those. For resetting the keys in wordpress, download the file wp-config.php in your ftp program, open it and find the section on key “salts”. Copy a randomly generated key from https://api.www.ads-software.com/secret-key/1.1/salt/ and paste it over top of the salts that were there. Save, and upload back to the server. If you’re not confident with that, you can probably get someone to do all of that for you for $75 on https://jobs.wordpress.net/

In reply to: Best option to create microsites? Are you capable with php and css? We can point you in the right direction, but unless you know the basics of php and css, you’ll probably not be able to get this without hiring a developer.

In reply to: Greyzed theme sub-menu not functioningThe most common reason for this happening is that the menu you made hasn’t been told to fire. WordPress allows you to create as many custom menus as you want, but you have to select which one you want to be displayed as your themes main menu using the drop-down box on the top left. I’ve wondered a couple of times why my custom menu wasn’t doing anything.

In reply to: Not able to add child pagesCheck out this video. If I understand your question, it answers it at 5:20 in the video. If that doesn’t get it, go over the instructions start to finish. If that still doesn’t get it, let me know.

In reply to: Please help- error after deleting catalyst themeThere shouldn’t be a problem with renaming the files. They’ll just sit there. I believe the reason you encountered an error in the first place was that you deleted a theme you currently had active and that it didn’t delete fully so there was just enough of it left to cause problems. The inability to delete files is definitely going to be a problem for you in the future though. You’ll need to call or email your host and look into that.

In reply to: PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Templates/PagesAll the help you’ve gotten has worked under the assumption that if they get you on the right track, you’ll be able to figure it out, but you really can’t without a decent working knowledge of CSS. The theme you’re using is built to look roughly uniform on all pages. If you want to customize individual pages this should get you half way there.
The trouble is that you’ll still have to know css to be able to specify what that page looks like. You may want to hire a designer.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Removing White BoxThis is not the right place for it, but since you’re here…
The box is your “main content area” usually found in your theme options under the appearance menu. If you are sure you don’t want to use that box, then you can make it invisible by putting a few lines of css in the the theme’s style sheet. I can step you through it if you like.Forum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: Moving WP Multsite from folder to rootAs to why the article on kdari.net didn’t have the solution, just the problem, the article was supposed to be a placeholder until we had time to write out the solution since we found the answer late at night when our brains were fried. By the time anyone commented on it we had forgotten the solution. The article is now up to date. We’re sorry about the incomplete information.
Very useful plugin. Thanks!
