Could need some help

Hello

So I got told I could get help here so here I am
I kind of screwed up the functions.php thingy because I wanted to add a shrinking menu and I read that I could this by adding a line at the bottom of the functions.php thing.
Long story short, I’m stuck with a parse error, can’t access anything, can’t correct what I’ve done (when I try to save it just won’t), I can’t use a FTP client because I don’t have a FTP account and it says on everywebsite that I need to pay to access their service, and finally I got told that the theme could be the problem and that I could ask here for help.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/tahities/www/wp-content/themes/type/functions.php on line 575

BTW there’s no line 575 anymore, I deleted the part I added but, like I said, I can’t save anything, so I can’t chage anything.
The guy who answered on the “Fixing Wordpres” forum said that I could try to change my theme and that the theme might be the problem and that I could ask here for help. Any idea how to change the theme without access to the board ?
