In reply to: [Work The Flow File Upload] Safari and iOS incompatibilityHello Lynton,
Thank you ??
I was starting to have a panic attack with all those things going wrong yesterday. I resolved the problem with widget logic and disabled another plugin that was messing up widgets by finally managing after a long night/day to do everything it used to by writing it manually (which I cannot do with widget logic at this point, but anyway even when disabled the workflows were not working) so now the site is back to normal.
I disabled every plugin I use without having any change on the workflows problem.
I then switched to twenty-twelve theme for test-purposes. I was then able to move along the workflow steps. So that seems to indicate there is a conflict with the theme. However I don’t get this as I haven’t made any of my theme updates since september as I modified it a lot manually and could not use a child theme without having all my widgets disabled and messed up in the process. I do not allow automatic updates for the plugins nor the theme. I don’t understand how it was working up until christmas and it’s not now. But anyway, maybe that now we have figured out that it must come from there you can help figuring out why so that those workflows get finally back on track?
Thanks again for your help
Best

In reply to: [Widget Logic] Widget Logic suddenly causing errors all overOk so not sure why but a function wpmd_is_notdevice() apparently got overwritten or interpretedas wpmd_is_not_device() causing errors as it was no longer calling the right function, but as I did not change anything for the past month including those functions or the widgets they were written into I am really wondering what can be going on. Now the correction messes up with the zig class widget that I use in addition to widget logic (in case others face the same weird course of action……..)

In reply to: [Work The Flow File Upload] Safari and iOS incompatibilityYes, I just did, the bad news is that disabling it makes the website very messy as all the conditional menus appear at the same time, but it does not change anything regarding the fact that I stay stuck on the same workflow step…….. AAAAAAAAAAAAH.

In reply to: [Widget Logic] Widget Logic suddenly causing errors all overAfter reading some other threads on this post where users seem to have gotten the same notice following up a php update on their server, I just checked my php changelog and there has been no update. I have not added any new functions or changed any of the widget logic functions already in place since more than a month and everything was fine until now so there must be something else going on with the plugin.
I understand from your replies on this forum that you don’t have much time to allow to this plugin but please help.

In reply to: [Work The Flow File Upload] Safari and iOS incompatibilityI just sent you a new email, I am reading the php file of the indicated problem (see screencaps in my email) right now and seeing that one is using ajax request and is actually used every where on my site, notably to make menus appear on different conditions depending on what users bought, I think the two issues are linked but I have no idea how to get this right. I do not have offline copy but the site is still in testing for two more weeks so no users to upset yet (otherwise I would have already thrown myself in the Seine!)
Thanks again for following up on this

In reply to: [Work The Flow File Upload] Safari and iOS incompatibilityHey Lynton,
Thank you for your feedback, sorry for admin access you need to replace your email with your ID, I just sent you an email.
The thing is I do not use any new plugin since I have installed yours, I do not use any form plugin on the workflows pages, I do not use any caching plugin at the moment and I haven’t changed my theme since the beginning (and therefore plugin install) or upgraded it, so I am not sure how that could be the source. I am gonna try disabling plugins anyway but it does not make sense at all.Best

In reply to: [Work The Flow File Upload] Safari and iOS incompatibilityHey,
I tried your last proposal and created a new workflow from scratch, but that did not work either ??
I just send you an email with all the info so that you can see it for yourself and hopefully figure it out ?? Let me know when you can.
Thanks again,

In reply to: [Work The Flow File Upload] Safari and iOS incompatibilityHello Lynton,
Thank you for following up on this. I tried :
– editing one workflow, saving it at each stage, and then opening it again with a user account for test purposes, but the problem remain the same.
– cloning a workflow and testing, which did not work either.
– creating a new user and trying a workflow, still no luck ??I am going to set you up with a test account and an admin account, I hope you can find out what is happening, I really don’t get it.
Crossing fingers!

In reply to: [Work The Flow File Upload] Safari and iOS incompatibilityHey Lynton,
Thank you for your kind words and the “je suis charlie”, that was really nice of you.
No, I tested them tonight on a PC with windows using chrome and IE and I was still stuck on the same step when clicking on next or previous.
I am currently trying to reset the users workflow stage number in the “Manage users” but I can’t seem to achieve it properly: when clicking on the checkbox on the line, deleting the stage number, writing “0” and clicking on apply/save, on refresh the stage number goes back to what it was before I tried to change it to zero. Is there another way to reset it?The demo works in chrome 39.0.2171.99 and firefox 33.0.2 on old Mac OSX 10.6.8 (I no longer have access to the most recent mac I was using during the holidays where the problem with firefox appeared), not in safari 5.x : the ajax request does not go through and the lines of code appear on the screen. But the previous demo also worked in chrome and firefox in those versions (otherwise I wouldn’t have installed the plugin in the first place ;)) I will try to test it on the newest firefox version where the problem happened tomorrow and will keep you posted on the result. The good news is it works on iphone 4S with OS 7.1.1, I had not tested the previous demo version on iphone, I realized it did not work only after creating my own workflow, so you might have nailed the problem with iOS on mobile :)!!
Let me know regarding the reset procedure so that I can do the test properly, it’s 3am here so I am gonna get some rest but I will set you up a test account and minimal guide (as all the buttons and text are in french on the workflows on the website) and send you the info in the morning.
Thank you for your help,
Best,
Marie

In reply to: [Work The Flow File Upload] Safari and iOS incompatibilityHello Lynton,
I am so sorry for replying so late but first I was away for the end of the holidays, and then the attacks in Paris have made it difficult to focus on work for a few days… Anyway, I am back at it now, except that there is something really weird happening : now I cannot move on to the next or previous steps of the workflows in chrome or firefox on my mac laptop, although it was working totally fine until I last tested it around christmas. I haven’t upgraded wordpress nor my browsers versions, or installed a new plugin. I really do not get what is happening and I can’t navigate through any of the workflows I have created anymore. Can you help? (I can give you access if needed)
Best,
Marie

In reply to: [Work The Flow File Upload] Pdf file type supported?Hey there,
Sorry, I got swamped with christmas preparations. I hope your sister’s laptop helps you figure it out ?? If you need other information/test let me know, if it doesn’t work on safari in the end I’ll just have to completely remove the plugin and make the 18 workflows as forms again, I am crossing fingers that will not be the case :)!
Happy holidays

In reply to: [Work The Flow File Upload] Pdf file type supported?Hey,
You’re welcome, it’s nice to have reactive plugin support so the least we can all do is give you all the info we can get to help you solve things faster.
1) I might get up to 20 over the holidays as I am really diggin this workflow feature, I will let you know what happens.
2) Haha you got me, I am an Apple victim all the way so yes, I do have a Mac.
So far I had tested it in Firefox and Chrome, and it worked just fine. However, before answering your question I thought I would be thorough and test it in Safari, which I personally don’t use.
Bad news is, it definitely isn’t working in safari : the workflow appears normally, but when clicking on the “Start” button to begin the process, it opens a page with the url : siteurl/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php and displays the html code for the actual stage I was on when clicking the start button (i.e. Stage 0), making it impossible to move on to any other stage.
You can see a screencap here (don’t be surprised by the content, I am french so it’s written in that language):
EDIT : Correct screencap url : https://fr.tinypic.com/m/if4h09/3
Side note : I tried it in the version of Safari I had on my computer, which was 5.1.8, as I got that result I upgraded to the latest version of Safari available for my OS, which is 5.1.10, and tested it again. I got the same result. All those versions are supposed to support Ajax, but I cannot tell if using the latest safari version that incident would not occur.Hope that helps and that the Safari compatibility issue can be fixed the same way the iOS devices compatibility will be addressed to save you some time. Please don’t code on christmas day and enjoy a great holiday with your wife instead ??

In reply to: [Work The Flow File Upload] Pdf file type supported?Hey,
Thanks for your feedback.
1) Regarding the iOS bug, I really hope you can get it fixed, it’s a major point of concern, but I totally understand the holiday break ??
2) Regarding the 10th workflow: yeah, what’s even weirder is that the bug seems to be happening only on the 10th one. I left it there without further modifications attempts and created another one, which logically received the id 11. That one I was able to modify and save without getting the Options page error. Same for the 12th I created after that.
(I should precise that the 10th is exactly like the other ones, as it is simply a clone of a previously created workflow that I could not change in any way due to the Options page Error).
I will have to create about a dozen more so I’ll let you know what I stumble upon. Thanks and happy holidays!

In reply to: [Work The Flow File Upload] Pdf file type supported?Hello again,
I am so sorry for yet posting another time but I have to ask: is there a limit to the number of workflows that can be created?
I just created a 10th one, and whenever I try to save changes, it displays a grey page with an error message saying “Options page cannot be reached”. However, if I open one of those I created previously, make some changes, and click save, everything works just fine.
I don’t understand this, do I have to upgrade to be able to save more than 9 workflows?

In reply to: [Work The Flow File Upload] Pdf file type supported?hey,
Yes, but as it was iOS specific and as the same user-agent vs actual devices test condition was met, I just thought it might be the same thing happening with the browser, so I posted it for what it was worth ??
Thank you, keep me posted.
Best,
Marie.
