In reply to: [bbp style pack] does it work with Buddyboss as wellAs far as I know, it is working with BuddyBoss.
The quotes should only affect bbPress and should work fine whether you have BuddyPress, BuddyBoss, or neither active.
I will reach out to BuddyBoss and try to coordinate making sure Style Pack works properly.

Since this is not an issue with Style Pack directly, I’m going to mark this as resolved, but feel free to post comments or questions if you still have any.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [bbp style pack] bbStylePack v5.6.8 screwing link to user profileGlad you got it resolved!
For completeness:How should I enter a relative URL here?
You’d want to put it in the format of
/oops-cant-get-you-where-you-tried-to-go/
within the Style Pack settings.Style pack will add whatever you put there onto the site_url. So it SHOULD automatically change regardless of which site you’re using. If it’s not, we can try to figure out why and possibly adjust the plugin code accordingly.
I’m going to mark this as resolved, but feel free to add comments or questions if needed.

In reply to: [bbp style pack] Flash of unstyled content before CSS appears to loadI would suggest a system-level caching layer like Varnish, but WPMU doesn’t support it according to this topic (also mentions how it affects Hummingbird, which may not do what you expect based on what I’m reading):
https://wpmudev.com/forums/topic/varnish-on-wpmu-hosting/
Another possibility is WP Super Cache. While not a true system-level caching layer, it acts like a caching layer:
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-super-cache/
There may be other, better options, but that should help put you in the right direction.
I’m going to mark this as resolved for now, but feel free to comment if you have any other questions or issues on this.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [bbp style pack] bbStylePack v5.6.8 screwing link to user profileOK. I’ve been looking at your test site. There seems to be some sort of issue with permalinks/slugs.
I get 404 not found error pages with almost EVERY link in the top main site navigation menu, which really has nothing to do with bbPress, BuddyPress, or Style Pack:
https://testsite.ovni-owners.org.uk/about/
https://testsite.ovni-owners.org.uk/amazing-ovnis-gallery/
https://testsite.ovni-owners.org.uk/posts/
https://testsite.ovni-owners.org.uk/links/
https://testsite.ovni-owners.org.uk/help/
https://testsite.ovni-owners.org.uk/contact/
About the only functional links on your test site are for the home page, forum and member list. Everything else is broken. Now, I also checked out your main actual live site, and it does NOT have the same permalink/404 not found issue.
On your actual live site, viewing member profiles has been disabled.
The message I get specifically states:
“Oops! Can’t get you where you tried to go!
You are not logged in.”If it has anything to do with Style Pack, you’ll find the settings for it in Style Pack > Profiles (/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=bbp-style-pack&tab=profile)
Make sure #1 is set to
Show Profiles to everyone (default bbPress)
Also, the Profile redirection value just below that is likely set to /oops-cant-get-you-where-you-tried-to-go/ which is where people are sent when they are not allowed to view profiles.
Double-check that and get back to us if you still have issues.
Once you get this sorted, I’d suggest making your test site private and/or not publicly accessible. It’s bad for security and search engine page ranking.

In reply to: [bbp style pack] Flash of unstyled content before CSS appears to loadOne more option for you may be a caching/pre-loading plugin that works well with FSE themes. That may be a good option for the time being, and should help overall for all plugins/code that enqueues CSS/JS files. Just a thought.

In reply to: [bbp style pack] Flash of unstyled content before CSS appears to loadWhile I have not experienced this first-hand, I understand that it has been an issue since the introduction of FSE themes (and pages that use the Gutenberg editor).
It has to do with template file priority order. Here’s a detailed link explaining it:
https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/33989
As for how it affects Style Pack (and every other plugin or code that adds CSS/JS files to pages), the enqueued files don’t get injected until after the proper header.php/.html file is loaded.
It is still an unpatched issue within WP core, but I will look into any possible intermediary solution for Style Pack. If we can find a suitable solution until WP core is patched, it would help with Style Pack styling, but every other plugin or code snippet would also have to be patched with the temp fix in order to provide a complete solution for you.
Probably not what you wanted to hear, and I wish I had better news to deliver. All I can say is that we will look into it and see what can be done for Style Pack.

Checking back in with you.
It looks like you changed themes. The forum link is no longer working so I can’t check for breadcrumbs. Any difference with the new theme?
You currently have a permalink/slug conflict with the default bbPress Forum Root Slug set in bbPress (/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=bbpress)
https://bsdinsight.com/forums/Your best approach is to start with 100% default WordPress Theme and 100% default bbPress. Get it working that way first. Then try other themes/plugins to see what’s actually breaking it.

In reply to: [bbp style pack] How to style a “blockquote” backgroundSeeing the actual site so I can inspect the code would help with giving you an accurate CSS snippet.
IF there’s a BLOCKQUOTE HTML tag within the PRE elements, then you could probably use something like this to unset the PRE styling, then the BLOCKQUOTE styling settings in Style Pack would take effect:
.bbp-reply-content > pre { all: unset; background-color: transparent; }
If there is no BLOCKQUOTE elements, then you’ll have to style the PRE elements specifically:
.bbp-reply-content > pre { border-left: 4px solid #cccccc9e !important; background-color: #eeeeee52 !important; color: #000000 !important; font-size: 12px !important; font-family: Arial; padding: 30px 20px 30px 20px !important; margin: 0 0 15px 0 !important; quotes: none !important; }
The actual code on your site will determine which approach you need to take above.
Since I can’t test it, I can’t guarantee that it’ll work, but this should point you in the right direction.
Add ONE of those code snippets to the “Custom CSS” tab in Style Pack to test out (/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=bbp-style-pack&tab=css). I’d start with the first one to see if you can un-do the styling applied to PRE tags so that the Style Pack BLOCKQUOTE settings work as expected. If that doesn’t work, then you can manually style using the second code snippet.
- This reply was modified 1 year, 4 months ago by codejp3. Reason: added default values to second code snippet

In reply to: [bbp style pack] How to style a “blockquote” backgroundAre the PRE tags being added by a custom function, plugin, or theme? That’s not default bbPress or Style Pack behavior.
In order to provide working CSS code, I’d need to look at an example quote on your site. You can provide a link here publicly, or email it to [email protected] if you’d prefer to keep it private.

In reply to: [bbp style pack] How to style a “blockquote” backgroundBefore going the custom CSS route, see if the built-in styling options work for you.
In the Style Pack > “Quotes” tab (wp-admin/options-general.php?page=bbp-style-pack&tab=quote), #8 Background Color and #9 Border Color will probably take care of what you’re trying to achieve.
