I have the same issue. It seems that this plugin does not work in Azure web app hosting by default.

I have just found that you need to set:

HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR, REMOTE_ADDR

for the Trusted IP Origins if you are using Azure.

Strange! I’ve just found the bug that the cropped image remained in the WordPress upload folder. Suppose it should also be located in the Azure storage too!!

I have found that the problem is due to wp_postmeta table. We can’t directly modify the SQL file. We need to update the meta_value of the meta_key ‘windows_azure_storage_info’.

I have a workaround. We can use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin (thx to the author). But for this approach, non image file types such as PDF won’t be updated the hostname to Azure (even won’t be uploaded).

We need to manually delete and re-upload these files.
