In reply to: WordPress admin panel corruption…?Is there a fix for this? I have the same problem. I clicked the 1 column while editing a post; when I checked the 2 column to return to that view it will not work. I am now stuck with one column. I backed up my site, and then re-installed WordPress, but that does not change it back to 2 column because I had to restore files (otherwise I would have been starting over from scratch).
Any suggestions on what to do? thank you.

In reply to: HTML5Ipstenu,
Thank you.
I have two more question about your response.
Do you think that once WordPress starts using html5 in its Core that themes using html5 will have improved SEO, speed performance, and more features?
In regards to SEO, now that Google and other browsers are shifting over to Html5 standards, will it improve Word Press over all performance do you think?
Thank you for your help. I’m still in the beginning stage of the learning curve on technology.

In reply to: Firefox vs. Internet Explorer Problem!I read all these mails on this subject and went to the validator. It said I didn’t have the DOCTYPE but I checked and I do.
I did not start having issues with IE until I got a new computer that runs Windows 7. On Vista the IE shows the site centered on the page. Now IE shows it to the left and my sidebar information is on bottom, after the posts.
In firefox it looks fine. I disabled plugins and that did not work.
Is there something about Windows 7?
I checked code and did not find anything except one small thing I fixed.

In reply to: site in Internet Explorer is weirdNo, I don’t know coding and when I originally started wordpress I was told it was not necessary.
Actually, I’ve started creating my own site with an editor. I know some html, but I would like to keep the wordpress going until I have my complete site built.
Everything was fine, this just started recently. I thought this was a forum for help???
So, I am intelligent enough to find my own “coding books”.
Btw, Your replies were really not that good as the both made no sense.

In reply to: site in Internet Explorer is weirdShould I add <head> and <body>
at top of head.phpand
</head> and </body> at the end?
And where did you find these first two sets of codes:
ref=http:…….
and the:
<style tyle=”text/css”>…..Thanks.
When you say it breaks, what does that mean?

I want to know, also, how they get in without being listed on the visitor log? They leave comments and on the comment they have an IP and time, but its not on the visitor log. Does that mean its generated automatically somehow from their end?
