In reply to: [BulletProof Security] Giving Editors access to BPS security?Thats fine. I was just curious. I do have a question about the BPS and WooCommerce plugin. I have an ecommerce website that uses WooCommerce to process payments, everytime I make changes to the WooCommerce settings page, I get a BPS alert saying the following. And this affects my htaccess file. So I always have to restore my htaccess file via BPS. Is there something that can be done to prevent the WooCommerce settings changes to trigger this alert? Is WooCommerce plugin not compatible with BPS sec.?
ALERT MESSAGE BELOW
===================BPS Alert! Your site does not appear to be protected by BulletProof Security
If you are upgrading BPS – BPS will now automatically update your htaccess files and add any new security filters automatically.
Refresh your Browser to clear this Alert
Any custom htaccess code or modifications that you have made will not be altered/changed. Activating BulletProof Modes again after upgrading BPS is no longer necessary.
In order for BPS to automatically update htaccess files you will need to stay current with BPS plugin updates and install the latest BPS plugin updates when they are available.
If refreshing your Browser does not clear this alert then you will need to create new Master htaccess files with the AutoMagic buttons and Activate All BulletProof Modes.
If your site is in Maintenance Mode your site is protected by BPS and this Alert will remain to remind you to put your site back in BulletProof Mode again.
If your site is in Default Mode then it is not protected by BulletProof Security. Check the BPS Security Status page to view your BPS Security Status informationWOW, thats pretty bad. I actually just downloaded and activated the plugin, and was about to run the backup when I read this. I immediately deactivated and deleted the plugin. Dont wanna go through this. Sorry dude.
Yeah garymgordon, I installed v1.6.8 on a wp3.5 install and I didnt have any problems.
@billie Thanks a bunch. The mods worked.
Any help (from anyone) in resolving my issues will be appreciated.
Hey David, love your theme. Great work ?? I had similar issues with the above mentioned plugins, but I followed your instructions and they fixed the problems. I do have one plugin that still has this issue, its the CubePoints plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/cubepoints/). I would really appreciate it if you could help with this. The sidebar to the right is way off like the above mentioned problems. Thanks
Hey Joshua, any help with this would be most appreciated. Our site launch is next week. And I’m stuck on these issues.
I appreciate the time and help. Just trying to reach out to folks that obviously know more than I do ?? I did remove the paragraph tags as you mentioned, and I now see the “remember me” option on the page (thanks for that). Not sure if I understand the code additions and changes you mentioned. Could you explain the reason for the code change? Looking forward to hearing back from you (or anyone else that can help me out) in regards to the 2nd and 3rd points.
2- Option to reset password
3- Also, when user enters the wrong password, he gets redirected to the wp-login.php page. I would definitely want this page blocked. Are there ways to prevent users from going to this page?Hey Joshua, I have a question. I used your theme to create a private community, used the custom css, bp-custom, functions-custom etc. Everything works great. How do I
1- Add an “Remember me” option under the login form
2- Option to reset password
3- Also, when user enters the wrong password, he gets redirected to the wp-login.php page. I would definitely want this page blocked. Are there ways to prevent users from going to this page?By the way, great theme.

In reply to: WordPress is sending spam emailsIts funny cos I just got off the phone with netfirms for the same reason. And they keep telling me the same thing you mentioned. Ive been with them for awhile too, and since you mentioned it, this was never a problem until the acquisition. If moving all my sites was as easy as snapping my finger, I would have been long gone. At this rate, it might just be worth the inconvenience. I have other wp sites with inmotionhosting and this has never been an issue. So we might have to bite the bullet and move.

In reply to: WordPress is sending spam emailsI have had my account suspended a bunch of times as well due to the same spamming issue on my wordpress websites. And I host through netfirms. I’m looking at having my 20+ websites moved to a different host. To say that its been a miserable experience is an understatement.
