    Okay Steven, I have been working with my hosting company, and I KNOW I am getting emails from the email address for my WordPress website: aheartbreakingchoice.org However, when I try to use the correct email for that WordPress email account (again -worked with my hosting co, and I KNOW the email works and that it is the CORRECT email) I am NOW getting the error: ERROR: Invalid username or email.

    So there is most definitely something wrong with the password reset function in the WordPress website login password reset function. Can you PLEASE tell me what email address I am SUPPOSED to be using to get my password reset when logging into a WordPress website? Is it the email address for the WordPress website in question, or my email address associated with my www.ads-software.com account that I use to login here?

    Again – I DO NOT need to reset my password, I NEED to follow the instructions for setting up my CONTACT US form that are listed HERE:

    https://blog.cf7skins.com/contact-form-7-email-issues/#sendemails – Step 2. Test if your WordPress installation is able to send emails.

    Please see the instructions to see what I am referring to.

    Thank you!

    I think it may be on the Host end, but I am not sure how to validate that, since there is no information on WordPress to show me WHY I am getting an error that my email address is not registered. My question NOW is when logging into the wp-login screen, is that using the email that is associated with my WordPress account, or is it the email that is associated with my WordPress site on my hosting site? That is where the confusion is. If it is using my email address associated with my WordPress account, then the error is in WordPress, since I KNOW that the email is spelled correctly for my WordPress account, However, if it is the email address associated with my website login, that is a totally different email address. I believe THAT is why this issues is so confusing to not only me, but many others that I’ve seen post about this same issue. Thank you for your assistance.

    Thanks. However, my question STILL remains as to WHY trying to get a new password email sent to me continuously returns an error that my email is not registered. If my email actually is registered with WordPress then the error message for the Wp-Login.php is an incorrect error message and should be changed to let users know what the REAL problem is… Otherwise, my original question remains – why doesn’t it find my email address as registered?

    Thread Starter Coleen

    (@coleenh)

    I’ve read that – this is NOT about resetting my password; yes, it’s about logging into my www.ads-software.com website. When I go to my WordPress Website login, and select “Lost your Password” it gives me a username or email login menu. I enter in my email address (which as I’ve already stated SHOWS as listed in my WordPress account) BUT as soon as I click on “Get New Password” using my email address (that IS listed in my profile in WordPress) I get this: ERROR: There is no user registered with that email address.

    Now – is that or is that NOT associated with my WordPress account? If it is, then WHY am I getting an error when I do have my correct email listed, and I DO receive emails for these forums?

    If it is NOT associated with my WordPress account, why am I instructed to enter my email address to get a new password sent to me? I do not understand how that is set up through my hosting service. I would appreciate understanding this issue, since I’ve had it before, and I’m sure I’ll have it again.

    Again, I don’t ACTUALLY need to reset my password for my website, what I am TRYING to do is troubleshoot why i am not getting emails for my “Contact Us” Form, and am simply following the instructions listed here: https://blog.cf7skins.com/contact-form-7-email-issues/#sendemails

    Thanks again for your help/explanation as to why my email doesn’t work to send me a password reset…?

    Thank you Cory, I submitted a ticket. I’m not sure if the issue is with Gutenberg, Duplicator, or Evolve, but there is definitely a compatibility issue between the three. Thanks!

    (@coleenh)

    I installed Duplicator into my current version 4.9.8 of WP and I’m using the theme Evolve, and have the most current version of it. I had Gutenberg running (with no errors) on it. As soon as I installed and activated Duplicator, when I tried to create a new page or a new post, the new page/post came up blank. So I uninstalled Duplicator, but the error remained. I noticed that a new update for Gutenberg was available, and installed it, but it did NOT fix the error. So I deactivated Gutenberg, and Duplicator, and can at least now add a new page, but I can’t get Gutenberg to work with Duplicator. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I have the same problem using the theme Evolve. It was working perfectly with Evolve when I first started using Evolve, then about three days ago, something happened, and now – if I have Gutenberg activated and try to create a new page or new post – the page comes up completely blank – exactly like shown in the screenshot above. I thought updating Gutenberg with the newest update would fix the problem – but it doesn’t. I’ve had to completely deactivate it in order to be able to add new pages to my website! I can give my website url, but it won’t show the error because you have to be an admin trying to add a new page or new post. Has anyone else had this problem, and how do I solve it – other than NOT use Gutenberg any more?

    Where do I get the the error log to send to you?

    Hi Romik, thanks.

    I did try other themes with Gutenberg, and didn’t seem to have any issues, but I didn’t like the other themes well enough to continue with them. The weird thing is that it was working perfectly with Evolve until about three days ago, then it just stopped working. I thought the update from them would fix it, but it didn’t.

    Thank you Deexperte that’s exactly what it was. Which is weird, because I had been using it all along. I did notice today that there is an update to it, so I updated Gutenberg and tried it, but still got the same results – it loads a completely blank page when I try to add a new page or new post as long as Gutenberg is activated. I guess I need to go to their site and let them know that there is a major bug with their product.

    Thanks for letting me know, I would never have thought to check that plugin.

    Oh – never mind got it. Duh! It should be
    #maxmegamenu-3.widget_maxmegamenu a:hover{color: #c9a0b5;
    }

    Thank you very much for your help!

    Hi Romik, okay so this:

    #maxmegamenu-3.widget_maxmegamenu a {
    color: #ffffff;}

    Works to change the color of the link in the left-hand side menu widget, Thank you!

    However, if I add the hover to it: #maxmegamenu-3.widget_maxmegamenu a hover{color: #c9a0b5;}

    The roll-over (hover) doesn’t work. Any suggestions on how to get the roll-over color to work for that?

    Thank you VERY much for your help.

    Thread Starter Coleen

    (@coleenh)

    Yes, I meant left-hand widget, sorry. Thanks, However, I just tried the css that you gave me and it doesn’t work.

    Thread Starter Coleen

    (@coleenh)

    Hi Nick, thanks. However, it doesn’t work. What I needed to do was set this in the custom CSS. I had the #copyright a, .widget a {color:#0200a1;} and the #copyright a, .widget a:hover:hover {color: #cc8699;} but that is what was causing the problem. I solved it by separating them out to: .widget a{color: #0200a1;} .widget a:hover{color:#1204db;} and #copyright a{color: #ffffff;} and #copyright a:hover {color: #cc8699;} – so if anyone else has problems changing the font hover color in their widgets, this should (hopefully) help. The reason it doesn’t work in the styling is because I’m using several different colors for the header, footer, and widgets – for both the initial link color AND the roll-over color. The Styling doesn’t give you the option to change the hover color in more than one place (that I could find), so it has to be done in CSS. It seems to be working like I want it to now. Thanks.

    Edited to add – Now the Right hand Widget AGAIN is not working correctly! ARGH! Please – need help to fix the color and hover (roll-over) for individual widgets! Please mark as NOT resolved!

    Thank you!

    one last question…the menu in the sidebar doesn’t have a rollover drop down. If all the sub menus under each category that will be listed in thatmenu (there will be about 15 or so) show every story that is listed under them, the menu will take up WAY too much vertical space. Is thee a way to make those menu items have a dropdown on rollover? (please see the menu on the left hand side of my original website here: https://www.aheartbreakingchoice.com/)

    Thanks again, very much for your help.
