In reply to: P2 Like WordPress Themes that support Quick Easy PublishingPulsePress is based off of P2, as are some others outside the Wp theme gallery that I can’t remember. “K2” is out of date. GTD is probably out of date but might not be. At least one of the premium theme companies has one – if you Google p2 wordpress theme collaboration you’ll probably find an article or two that mentions it.

I had a different problem: “Show Toolbar when viewing site” had somehow become unchecked >_<
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Top Admin Bar MissingI too can’t see the admin bar on a 3.4 site. It’s there in the back end but not the front. I tried switching themes (including to Twenty Eleven) and tried deactivating some plugins (haven’t tried all yet – went after what I thought were the most likely), but no luck.
Welvin: are you able to see the admin bar with any other themes, or just Twenty Eleven?
I’m afraid I can’t help you with the configuration problem, but I can tell you you don’t need to have this plugin installed to run WP – it adds some handy features, that’s all.
You could try using a custom query on your front page, adding the Events custom post type in; there may be a plugin to manage this without getting into the code. I’m not sure how dates would be handled, though – I imagine they’d either show up right when you post them or on the day of the event. If you wanted to set a different date for it to appear, that might be tricky.
I was hoping to get my events to automatically go in my main blog area too, but I think I’m just going to manually copy the content of each new event listing into a new blog post (or find a way to use the shortcodes), since it’s not much work.
