Your plugin Mega Addons For WPBakery has a security vulnerability

One of my pages on my website uses this addon, so disabling it would be a problem.

yes you are correct. I have four users of various types.
Only one user actually posts, the others are just there so that photographs can be uploaded to the media library. Ran another scan tonight but not 100% convinced that all is ok. Two out of the four users are appearing to log in unsuccessfully. I have reset all passwords just in case.

I have purchased my own licence and contacted the developers of the “INTENSE WORDPRESS PLUGIN” . The issue will be resolved by installing updated plugin they say.

I have tried this out on a test version of my site and it seems to work ok. With updated plugin, I am now able to save posts etc.

Hopefully this will also work with my live site – going to update in a day or two.

I am looking to buy the license for myself over the next day or so.
Hopefully I will be able to sort some troubleshooting then via the plugin developers.

I think I’ve solved it in the end, 12 hours later……

With proper backups, I’ve deleted the site on server vis FTP, installed a new version of wordpress to v 4.2.5.

Re-installed all the backups and fingers crossed, it seems to be working.

Looks like root files were messed up or overwritten during an update.

Maybe plugin or theme issues did not help.

looks like I will have to update to 4.4 the manual way ??

no error messages ??

I have restored site several times but wordpress still updates to latest version AFTER restore is done.

Been on this all day without success…..
