@george, you think I should get some Buddypress running up on the upstatewp.com site? I see that a lot of people use meetup.com, but I’m too cheap. However, should this ever take off we’ll need some sophisticated event managment plugin, which WP seems to be lacking, but I’m sure we can jerry-rig something ??

Should we set a date for first meetup? Say Wed., Sept. 7? We will need a place to meet. Anyone have a large space they can volunteer to host at? I’d offer my studio, but don’t know if everybody from Albany area would want to trek all the way up to Glens Falls?
