In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Constant Contact deprecationI called Constant Contact to talk with them about this. They do not have a way to cancel your account in the online portal. If you want to cancel your account, you can call billing, and they will do as you ask.
I don’t know if not having a cancel button online is a “dark pattern”. I would think a “dark pattern” would have to be a thing that exists, not a thing that doesn’t exist.
If any vendor gives you a hassle about canceling, all you have to do is tell your credit card company to stop paying the bill.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Constant Contact integration failsI’ve come to the conclusion this is not going to get fixed. The extra space for the test environment has pushed me past my storage limits. It’s going to cost me money to keep it. My plan is to get rid of the test environment, and look for an alternative plug in.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Constant Contact integration failsThis is real progress. I have successfully added an entry to Constant Contact, although it is incomplete.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Constant Contact integration failsI have gotten a new result with this configuration. If the email address has never been in Constant Contact before, a record is created, but it is not added to any lists.
Trying to add an existing record to an additional list still does not work.
This is all on the test site. I have not yet tried on the real site.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Constant Contact integration failsI created a new set of credentials for Constant Contact and reconfigured CF7 on the test site. I get the confirmation email, but the email address is still not added to the target email list.

If you think it would help, I can create an admin level login for you on the test site. There is nothing sensitive there, so it’s not a security issue to have additional admin level access.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Constant Contact integration failsI have established a totally clean WordPress environment with the default theme and exactly one plugin, CF7. Still, Constant Contact integration does not work. Is there any help available, or should I try to find a different plug in with this feature?
The failing page is: https://test.sccdp.org/?page_id=6

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Constant Contact integration failsThis is really disappointing. I’m asking for help. I’ve followed all the instructions. I still have trouble. Please.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Constant Contact integration failsI did everything you asked. Clean WordPress, default theme, exactly one plug in, new Constant Contact API credentials. Still, connection to Constant Contact does not work. New email addresses not added. URL is test.sccdp.org.
What, now?

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Constant Contact integration failsI have finally gotten a test environment set up at test.sccdp.org. It has a fresh copy of WordPress, default theme ( Twenty Twenty One ), and one plug in, Contact Form 7. I created one contact form, and turned on Constant Contact integration. Guess what? I get the emails at my admin email, but nothing shows up in Constant Contact.
So, no plug in conflicts, no results.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Constant Contact integration failsThe Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin just about ruined my Web site. I ended up with all the plugins disabled, and not restorable via the Disable Troubleshooting button. I had to go through and re-activate them each by hand. Several of my sidebar widgets disappeared, and some others moved to the other side.
Some of my posts lost their images and featured images, which I had to repair by hand. I am still not sure I have caught all the damage because there is just too much territory to cover.
All this, and I am no closer to figuring out what is wrong.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Constant Contact integration failsWhen I disable ReCaptcha v2 for Contact Form 7, I get an error message:
“There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”
This time, I do not get the confirmation email, either.
This is as stripped down as I can get the Web site, and the problem does not go away. I have no idea what to do, now.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Constant Contact integration failsOK, I did it. I switched to Theme Twenty Twenty, and disabled all plugins except CF7 and ReCaptcha v2 for Contact Form 7. I do get a verification email, but no changes get applied to Constant Contact.
I will try again without ReCaptcha v2 for Contact Form 7.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Constant Contact integration failsMy hosting service has helped me set up a staging environment. I do not have it working quite right, yet, but it looks like I will be able to get it working. Once I have done that, I will better be able to diagnose the problem.
This is going to take a while. Meanwhile, I am hoping someone may recognize the problem and suggest a fix. Otherwise, I press on.
Thanks for the “health Check & Troubleshooting” suggestion. That might be easier than what I am trying to do.
