Thanks for letting me know.
Any advice on how to accomplish this? Do you have a Pro version that can import users?

In reply to: [Safe Redirect Manager] change site URL from subdomain to main domainHi Darin,
Thanks for responding. Regarding my site host, Siteground, I asked them how to move from the subdomain to the main domain, and they have a function that lets you change your domain name. However, their knowledge base is spotty and I didn’t get clarity on what to do after pressing “Go” on updating the domain name. Sounded like some manual work was required using their tool to search/replace in WordPress. They’re also not interested in helping solve site issues like this, only problems caused by their servers. Ha ha.
But I appreciate your clarification of your plugin. I may want to use it for another site I am working on. ??
A quick update: I see that Siteground has a function to create redirects, for example, domain blog.example.com (chosen from a dropdown), a path they describe as “e.g., /blog” (which isn’t what I would do), redirect type (301 or 302), and redirects to (no suggestions there).
If I have changed the subdomain to the main domain, would this type of function be able to send users to the moved site if they typed blog.example.com? The goal, of course, is to send anyone who types the subdomain to the main domain. Or do I need it at all?
Your thoughts/tips are appreciated!

In reply to: [WP User Manager - User Profile Builder & Membership] Fatal ErrorVersion 2.9.5 installed 14 March but site went offline 18 March?

In reply to: [WP User Manager - User Profile Builder & Membership] Fatal ErrorHello,
On 16 March 2023 I received a message fom Wordfence that WP User Manager was updated from 2.8.19 to 2.9. (not 2.9.5).
Today, Wordfence indicates my site had technical issues with the following error messages (site not displayed, only the error messages):
Warning: require_once(/home/customer/www/primeraempresa.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-user-manager/includes/functions-scoped.php ): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/customer/www/primeraempresa.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-user-manager/includes/class-wp-user-manager.php on line 199
Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/customer/www/primeraempresa.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-user-manager/includes/functions-scoped.php ‘ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php74/pear’) in /home/customer/www/primeraempresa.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-user-manager/includes/class-wp-user-manager.php on line 199
After receiving these messages I restored the site to an earlier backup from 14 March and the site went live again.
However, it appears that my site was already up to Version 2.9.5, even on 14 March.
I have turned off auto-update for WP User Manager.
Please look into this issue and advise. It seems the issue is not fixed.
Your help is appreciated.

In reply to: [WP Abstracts] features free vs pro? Thanks. That really helps. ??
You might add a link to the chart on the WP plugin page to make it easier to locate.

In reply to: [Change Mail Sender] CB Change Mail Sender out of date for WPUpdate: removed CB Change Mail Sender from the site and replaced it with another plugin, WP Change Email Sender.
The workaround for this issue, for now, turned out to be adding more words to the post. Then I was able to increase the words displayed before the “read more” link. The display of the undesirable text from the Mailpoet pop-up was pushed down due to my added words in the post, and therefore not shown. A little hokey, I think, but it would not be seen often due to most people having more text inside a post than I had at the time.
Hi again – working with the free version of WPUF I am trying to set up a register/login process.
I see there is a shortcode for user registration, but the setup instructions indicate that there is a tab to set up the registration fields that is for the Pro version, only.
Question 1: How do new users register on my site, if there is only a login form for existing users?
Question 2: Can I send the new user a confirmation email that they have to reply to, before gaining access to the site?
I saw the question above, and thought I’d try to ask my own question about this issue.
Looks like you have moved on from this plugin. Are you using either of the two you mention? Do they work for you?
Hello,
I installed the free version of Super RSS Reader, and I’m a bit stuck.
Question 1: Can I add a widget to a page? I don’t see a way to do it.
Question 2: Does the free version work *only* in a sidebar?
Question 3: In the block editor I see a choice for RSS (WP default for feeds) but not Super RSS Reader. What should I look for, and where?
Your help is appreciated!
Thanks. Good to know.
The staging site had been deleted a couple of weeks ago, I believe.
How often are scans run?
Hi @wfphil and @crissineon
I am getting the same type of notices for each of my sites that has WordFence, saying that the file is unsafe.
A Siteground representative informed me today that these are legitimate PHP files that assist in auto-login from their site. If I delete the file, it will be regenerated.
Additionally, I got a WordFence notice about this PHP file for a WP staging site that had already been deleted before I received the notice. This might be a different issue altogether: why is WordFence reporting on a site that has been deleted?

In reply to: [Widget Logic] Stopped working with WP 5.8I recently had an issue with Classic Widgets. It got some kind of error (I wish I would have taken a screen grab of the error message) and I could not log into the admin area. I logged in via FTP and deleted the plugin, then all was good.

In reply to: [Widget Logic] Reported as abandoned by WordfenceI got a similar warning from Wordfence. Their site seems dead, too.

Just tried their contact form, and it doesn’t work.
