Secondly, I fixed this in the end by removing the

from the conditional bit.

Update on this: if I remove the conditional element, then this…

<?php echo genesis_get_custom_field('ecpt_headline'); ?>

…outputs as expected.

A temporary fix but not ideal.

So: any tips on to rewrite the conditional bit, so that something only shows up if there’s a value?

This is installed locally using MAMP so I can’t give you a link I’m afraid…

Oh, I decided not to post a new thread simply because I’m having exactly the same problem as the original poster and didn’t want to produce a duplicate thread. Just wanted it to be noted that another user was having the same problem!

I’m having trouble with this as well, if anyone’s wondering. (Nobody was wondering.)

I’ve noticed this as well, as have my site’s visitors.

Would be great to find a fix.
