I did the Repair Membership Tables and that seemed to work.

I’m having the same problem, the template info link is not working a “#” is added on to the url when I click on the link.

a quick fix or new release would be great!

Actually I didn’t find it resolved in the last link provided. I did find I was having this same problem, however, and the solution is in the allowed html tags. For example if you allow <table><tr><td> etc…
but your excerpt is cutoff before the tags are closed then the read the rest does not fall in line with the text, it is thrown off by the unclosed tags, same is most likely true for <p> <form> or others that need to be closed.

To solve the problem for me I changed my allowed html tags in the Excerpt settings. Or if you want to be super-mindful when creating posts note the length of the excerpt and what tags need to be closed before you hit that limit…

I’m not sure if in future releases of this plugin it would be possible to have an option that would ‘automatically close any open html tags’ but this would be a great fix if it is possible.

I am trying to do the same thing, I would like the file to open in a new tab or window, I have tried editing template but I am obviously not in the right place as it is not working. I am adding the file to a post using the ‘file url’ method. my shortcode is

[wpfilebase tag=fileurl id=1 linktext=’Pack for Jail’ /]

I am having this same issue – I thought I saw a setting for this while I was configuring for the first time, but now I cannot find it.

you need to update your .htaccess file in the wordpress installation folder on the new server. go to admin->Settings->Permalinks the content for your .htaccess file should be there, if you can’t find your old .htacess file to upload.
