Put the files in your public_html or www folder on your web host.

If you are using a WordPress version above 2.7 you can upgrade WordPress in the dashboard ^As use above.

If you are using <2.7 you will need to manually ftp the files to your web host.

Trying making a new wp-config file. Just edit one on your desktop and plug in the current values. Ie: use the same database name etc as you currently have. Then replace the current one.

No this is nothing that you are doing wrong.

I had this issue with a theme from WooThemes not to long ago. It depends on the code used in your theme. I would leave a support question in the Thesis forum.

Actually, quite often it is actually plugins and themes. I have helped 10 people just this week troubleshoot in the WP IRC just by deactivating plugins. It often turned out that it was an old plugin or something along those lines.

If it were not, then there would not be so many forum threads about this same and similar topics.

There are also SO many threads about not being able to log into WordPress. I suppose that’s a bug in WordPress to?

Instead of abusing volunteers, how about actually trying to solve the issue. You didn’t help the original poster at all with your comment and may have actually confused them.

If its a real bug, submit a ticket to trac. If your just causing trouble go away.

Just re-upload WordPress. Make sure you keep your wp-config.php and wp-content folder on the server though. Dont replace or delete these.

By doing this you wont lose any of your posts etc

Do other WordPress themes install? Is it just this one? Try installing one from: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/themes/

This is probably a stupid question, but are you actually naming the posts?

It seems that Fantastico hasn’t installed all the necessary files.

Try installing it again. If that doesn’t work ask your webhost.

Like MacManX said try doing it manually and just rename it when you finish plugging in your data.
