Definitely something going on. I had similar problems. What’s strange is the conflict seemed to develop after I upgraded another plugin. I wasn’t able to upload. I couldn’t deactivate any of the plugins on the site itself. Went in through myPhpAdmin on my host site and deactivated all. Able to upload with no plugins active, able to upload with all plugins except Smush active, and then was able to upload after I reactivated Smush. Weird… Just thought I’d comment to see if it was any help.

I suppose that’s possible. I feel pretty comfortable about my security of my site because I’ve made sure I followed best practices on setting that up. How would I check that? I’m using BackWPUp.

I am having a similar problem except I just get the Forbidden screen everytime I login. My assumption is it has to do with iThemes but I can’t be sure.

Yes, I run iThemes and that was my thinking that it may have locked me out. Would it still have locked me out even after I disabled it through my ftp?

Yes, it does replicate on other computers and different browsers from my home.
