In reply to: [AMP] Why are my AMP pages 14 times slower than my desktop?Your remark about my health is abusive! You have no right to make comments saying that I cannot regain any more function.
I will Not come back to this forum, and I will try to avoid them all since you represent the Authority. You are Disgusting to treat a disabled person the way you have treated me.
Disgusting.

In reply to: [AMP] AMP still very slow per PageSpeed InsightsUsing the suggested settings brought my GTMetrix score down dramatically, and I was warned not to have too big of some sort of load. I undid the changes and my score went back up.
I wonder why Desktop is faster, and things that help AMP appear to hinder desktop????
I find this confusing!

In reply to: [AMP] AMP still very slow per PageSpeed InsightsI did it then ran the test twice. The first run was four times worse. The second:
Total Blocking Time
790 ms
POOR
Largest Contentful Paint
6.1 s
POOR
Cumulative Layout Shift
0.916

sooo, there was some improvement for mobile, but it’s still slower than desktop…???But, it made desktop worse for paint and layout…
Total Blocking Time

Largest Contentful Paint

In reply to: [AMP] AMP still very slow per PageSpeed Insightswith my new WP hosting I get Jetpack professional. So I need to see how to access that.
Weird though, that my Desktop site is so fast and my mobile is fast but the AMP lags…
As an aside, my site AMP scores did not improve with the AMP update that I was told would make the Paint thing swifter… nor with the site kit update… I use SMUSH for all my images, after creating them with optimization in GIMP.

In reply to: [AMP] Would my amp pages be faster is I used Arial instead of Open Sans?So far theme support, Primer, seems to appear every couple of months. No money for the highly expensive professionals that Google loves. Sorry. That’s why I wondered about using a plugin.

In reply to: [AMP] AMP still very slow per PageSpeed InsightsUpdate: GTMetrix for my site is now A100% , so the new hosting has given me a boost. It had to switch from Apache to Ng-something, with built in persistent object caching… Redis won’t work with it.
So yet again my desktop is MUCH faster than my AMP…
Why is AMP so much slower than my desktop?????Per PageSpeed Insights :

In reply to: [AMP] AMP still very slow per PageSpeed Insightsfor whatever reason, having changed to the faster WP hosting at InMotionHosting, my GTMetrix score has dropped from A99% to A92% and it’s now telling me that my initial server response time is too slow. So… not ideal… still on the phone with techs…

In reply to: [AMP] AMP still very slow per PageSpeed InsightsYes… dns has now been updated
Thank you very much, Mr. Osborne, that appears to have worked!!!
??
Thanks.
That’s interesting in that I switched Auto Ads off at Adsense … It would be really nice if the Google things worked the way they imply that they work…
I’ll go see if I can follow your instructions to remove the superfluity of ads…
Thanks, again.

In reply to: [AMP] Persistent object cachingI’m so grateful to you Mr. Ruter!!! I called up InMotion Hosting and they now have hosting specific to WP. My old hosting didn’t support persistent object caching, just as you had mentioned. So I switched to the WP hosting plan… which I would not have known to do without your help.
Thank you, Thank you!!!!

In reply to: [AMP] Persistent object cachingThis is very helpful. I’ll contact InMotion Hosting and see if they do Redis… W3 was too complicated for me, though I stuck with it for years.
Suwash, I missed your reply until now. Maybe Yoast SEO thinks my pages are posts… When I was using Yoast SEO before, it wasn’t doing that. So… maybe this time I accidentally gave it the impression that I have posts… Do you know of a setting that I might have misused?

In reply to: [AMP] Is there a way built in to the plugin to ad Adsense to AMP pgs?WPQuads explained how to get global settings, and now it’s working for me.
Thank you so much! Now I can see why people rave about how good your plug in is!
