In reply to: Favicon not showing up in mobileAny idea why this is still old?
cleared my cache and everything. same old
I plugged in the code. Unfortunately, it still reduces the quality of the images substantially even when set to “100”.
I wonder if this is something they are going to work on?
This is actually the correct code. Not letting me edit.
function sa_custom_params( $args ) {
$args[‘quality’] = 100;return $args;
}
add_filter( ‘jetpack_photon_pre_args’, ‘sa_custom_params’ );`Forum: Reviews
In reply to: [Gutenberg] Go check your pages after disabling…Edit: I contacted support on my site. They looked into it for an hour but couldn’t figure out why the layout was messed up after disabling and deleting Gutenberg. Posts look perfect in editor. I have to go back and manually resave all the posts, without changing anything, to get the text to wrap properly on in-body images.
I disabled all other plugins, even previewed another theme. wouldn’t go away.
I would stay away from this plugin.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Go check your pages after disabling…Yes, that’s what I read, which inspired me to delete it. However, in my experience, after disabling the plugin, the text of some pages got messed up (first image in post no longer text-wrapping.) I could fix it by manually editing the posts, but I don’t have time/interest to do that.

In reply to: SEO post ranking affected by Site URL change?To bring this full circle, it appears that I am gaining pagerank again. This is 3-5 days after the fact. Good to know changing URLs (with proper redirection) isn’t a death sentence for articles with pagerank.

In reply to: SEO post ranking affected by Site URL change?I am fine to wait, as long as it comes back. My concern was that it wouldn’t come back. We’ll see.

In reply to: Is it ever necessary to clear the cache?How often would you recommend clearing it for the nonce, assuming it is otherwise static and nothing has changed?

In reply to: SEO post ranking affected by Site URL change?I actually just downloaded that today. Takes a day to update.
I have another very similar site (same theme, plugins) and there were no major issues.
Wondering if it’s a weird thing about Google algorithm.
Changing url structure seems like a high-risk thing to do, even when all proper protocols are followed. We’ll see if the pagerank gets restored in the next few days.

In reply to: SEO post ranking affected by Site URL change?Yes, they are. The redirects were working from the very beginning. I plan to leave the redirects in place for a very long time.

In reply to: SEO post ranking affected by Site URL change?I used Redirection to set up a redirect from the old posts with the date in the URL to the new URL. The Redirection was working good from the beginning. Many of my posts in Google are still redirecting from the old dated url to the new one.
However, some of my more popular ones are no longer redirecting (this is a good thing I would presume, since it means Google updated it to the new URL). The only issue is I noticed that those pages aren’t getting any views, which makes me believe that pagerank was somehow affected, even though everything else looks good.
I hadn’t followed these pages closely enough to manually be able to see the difference in pagerank. I just noticed they went from 30-50 pageviews a day to nearly 0.
Thank you for your reply.
I’m good now. With that setting disabled, it seems to be working fine. Thank you for reaching out. I have updated the review to 5 stars to reflect the fact other features of the app are working and the evidently good support.
