    – changing theme to 2017 also did not recover the functionality to show the images (neither in wp admin, nor front end)
    That’s a great tip because it narrows down for me: my inflicted error cannot be in theme files ??
    Do you have any more such tips that could narrow down error investigation to a single file? ??

    Sorry, I should have been precise: I meant the system snapshot file, yes, that’s what I meant with “support file”. ??

    Now I understand why you link to imgur: you can upload your images, like pinterest. Okay, thank you.

    I’ve sent the snapshot support file to the gmail address, thank you. I included some other info just in case you have another idea where I should look further? ??
    Normally I find my errors fast, but this time, OMG, 4 days already…

    Oh forgot: Yes, of course I also checked the wp_commentmeta (it’s called in my installation): nothing from cir gets written anymore, only entries like these (from wp I believe):
    _wp_trash_meta_status
    _wp_trash_meta_time

    But again, in the new, clean 2017 wp installation, commentmeta of course DOES write comment_image_reloaded and comment_image_reloaded_ur names. Hence why there it works. ??

    So yeah, I know already the problem is nothing get written to the db, I just don’t know why all of a sudden?
    Earlier it DID work already, that’s what confuses me so much…. I messed up sth.

    Interesting site, imgur. But I don’t understand, did you maybe misunderstand by question?

    I didn’t look for viral images, your plugin is perfect. I merely messed up sth, don’t know what, and since then (4 days ago) I can’t get it back to work….
    imgur doesn’t help with sending you my support file though (the system snapshot).
    Or did I miss sth about imgur?

    Yes, I have of course tried all that (not stupid, lol), but was to no avail.
    From the top of my head, this I have tried (and more):

    – Reinstalled (at least 6 times)
    – Reinstalled after deleting in db every occurence of comment-images-reloaded, and cir
    – disabled our ajax commenting system
    – let it load jquery in the header (normally we don’t)
    – loaded with magnific css, loaded without
    – loaded with the 2kb small cir.min.js, loaded with the 23kb cir_andzoom.min.js
    – all variations of settings (and I mean, really ALL variations: I am mathematician)
    – installed it in development environment (same result, no longer posts/shows images)
    – installed it in new, naked twentyseventeen wp installation (here it works, of course!)
    – checked all server settings relating to uploads
    – created the system snapshot (great plugin by the way)
    – analyzed it, for anything obvious (am no programmer)
    – manually placed the code <?php if (function_exists(“the_cir_upload_field”)) { the_cir_upload_field(); } ?>
    (great code/solution by the way!) in different locations of the comment form
    – checked the debug file for references to the plugin
    …..

    Like I say, 4 full days already…. tiring…. when you don’t strike gold (solve it).
    Only then I posted here in support ??

    In my opinion, Schulz deserves a prize.
    And Ipstenu deserves…

    This issue is SO obvious, and SO old (since wordpress’ inception – before Ipstenu or Schulz were around). It should be fixed before any of that crap is being rolled out… rel=noopener… auto nofollow (100% harming every wordpress’ site’s SEO without the site owner even realizing!!)… still no URL to input in media library, instead that idiotic “housewives” customiiiizer… and on and on.

    Ah well, coding never suggested one has brain. Right? LOL

    davidallen I would suggest you learn to read before you write. Look how much I have contributed to further the plugin, and you have… zero.

    Next lesson would be to learn to think. The fact that I contribute so much means what?

    Finally the fact that Jacob instantly responds to your mini post suggests what?

    Exactly.

    And @jacob: If you feel no honored after all that superb feedback, but you feel the need to plus1 pointless “support” then you have completely misunderstood me.

    Man! No one here on this huge www.ads-software.com website suggests that! Frankly, most don’t care what Jacob is doing.
    Why do you always get so touchy when users of your plugin take time out to try to help you with critical issues of your plugin?
    Do you think any of the “Downloaded: more than a million” plugins would have become successful if their authors reacted touchy when getting help?

    Not much in your opinion? What planet are you from?? Do you know of ANY plugin at all that is so …. programmed to USELESSLY blow up the wordpress database?
    And then ALL THE TIME causing “session errors” when importing a backup?!

    Phew! I am lost for words.

    Thank you, I will try to do that, only right now I can’t, maybe another user can do it quicker…

    But why did you, or someone else?, mark this as resolved when the evidence of countless users clearly documents here that nothing is resolved?

    We shouldn’t mislead other users I feel, just for the benefit of looking “polished”.

    I know of the terrible wordpress habit to auto-close threads just because they prefer their own “akismet plugin” over my 100% successful SPAM protection WITHOUT a plugin… – but marking a thread as resolved where it isn’t resolved is a whole different matter. Why do they suddenly do that??

    Agreed. I am convinced there is an ezy solution to get ezphp to work for EVERYONE, whether they use it for their s2member Pro sites, CommentMail Pro templates, or even for a site that has no meaningful other plugins.

    Could maybe you as experienced coder give all us users and customers who cannot code, the code (likely no more than 3 to 5 lines) that we can put in our functions.php, and it will “cleanse” the POST and PAGE content from the space character whenever it gets added between
    <
    and
    ?php
    by either a wordpress filter, hosting php version, or whatever ?

    ez, Raam, happy to explain that: You didn’t show us the frontend post view. Your screenshot shows us the post during editing: See the wp admin bar on the left.

    No one can know that your wordpress would post that “view update” link even hiigher up?, and why? In my wordpress anything higher up would be… the address bar. ??

    Okay I do reply to your first point then: Easy. When wordpress has saved a page I always get to see “Page updated. View page”, like everyone does. That’s not to be seen on your screenshot.

    And quite frankly, that it is not to be seen is not my fault, nor that no one has replied to the questions here, right? I am more than surprised how you found anything here “nasty”, maybe you (wrongly) took my praise as irony(?) but it isn’t Raam! My “YOUR team of plugin authors and ingenious programmers clearly has the skill to pinpoint WHICH hosting parameter is at fault then?” is both honest and honoring: Remember that I am one of those that has promoted websharks ever since I purchased the first product, and so, quite frankly, your response here now I find nasty, unjustified, misplaced, unprofessional.

    So let’s forget that, and back to basics: what I asked, Pam, and all the ones in her old thread both here and on websharks’ site:

    What can cause the space to be added, if neither other plugins, nor themes, nor wordpress filters are at fault? Is my guess “hosting parameters” really so way off? I am wondering what else I could look into. I can’t code, I am the end user, I can only make guesses and try things – which I have done extensively but couldn’t figure out for ezphp.

    Websharks has a top free plugin with ezphp that could draw thousands of additional customers to your other top plugins like s2member PRO, CommentMail PRO, etc – just not if all support threads here go unanswered, or worse, labeled “nasty”. No one is nasty here. We all seek to get things to work. And websharks has some of the best plugins ever created!

    Oh, and looking at your “test” page, quickly two tips:

    1) IF you “running on the latest version of WordPress.” then it would be wise ANYWAY to update your plugin here, because wordpress “warns” of it like in “This plugin hasn’t been updated since the last three core wordpress upgrades and it may no longer work”.

    2) Your testpage either is incomplete or irrelevant, Raam:
    Your screenshot shows clearly that you haven’t even SAVED that “test” page, but bot Pam and myself wrote clearly “When a page or post gets SAVED, a space character is added…”

    No one in this nor in any of the other threads suggested so, Raam.
    At the very least, Pam (5ys? ago) and myself, wrote clearly “WORDPRESS causes…”

    Either way, we ALSO wrote, this is NOT theme and NOT plugin related, no. See Pam’s thread please. In blank installs it’s the same.

    I clearly wrote “some WORDPRESS FILTER…” seems to be messing up your plugin. A filter that WORDPRESS seems to have introduced just before Pam started her thread, both here, and in your (old) forum @websharks, thus some 4 to 5 ys ago.

    Now if, based on your “inhouse tests” you assume that not wordpress but some hosting parameter may cause this, I would instantly agree “Yes, possible!”

    Yet again, YOUR team of plugin authors and ingenious programmers clearly has the skill to pinpoint WHICH hosting parameter is at fault then?

    As said, I thought I found it and I asked the new hosting guys to enable “php eval()” which Jason’s server scanner script marks as important.
    Unfortunately however it cannot be THIS parameter, or not this one ALONE.

    As for your “disable the visual editor”, again, both Pam and I have never even seen the visual editor, we disabled it outright.

    And I never want to see this again “Please disable all other plugins” as we PURCHASED several of webshark’s plugins that REQUIRE to be enabled – hey, otherwise what’s the membership-only access for??

    So again, leaving ONLY YOUR PLUGINS enabled, and the standard theme, ezphp doesn’t work still.
    And again, YOUR team of plugin authors and ingenious programmers clearly has the skill to pinpoint WHICH hosting parameter is at fault IF this is not caused by wordpress but by hosting parameters??

    I have tested this for another two days, and while the plugin still doesn’t load comments I got it to take “some” action upon clicking the button to “load comments”:

    Now the rotating “tornado” symbol finally stops and our notes that are ABOVE the comments gets displayed. In inspector it now gives:

    jquery.js:4 XHR finished loading: POST “https://mygermanshepherd.org/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php&#8221;.

    which is the same as I posted earlier, except for: “jquery.js:4 XHR finished loading” ??

    So, *sth* finished loading, only lazy load for comments won’t show it? Anyone understands why?

    I don’t know what to say because I am not a coder.
    But what I do know is, if YOU were the one affected (site DOWN because of, say MY, plugin) you’d be upset if I as the creator replied like this (with excuses). No matter how justified they may be from a CODING perspective.

    I can’t do the digging for you WHY your code gives a fatal error.
    If I could, I’d be the plugin creator. ??

    I didn’t see him promising that, where?
    Either way, there are two big, and opposed, views of associating comments to the article, pl google it and you will find a very strong community of SEO “experts”(?) who argue against that. Because, your visitors would have to be super bright, super focused, super articulate – like you the article author – (but which they clearly are NOT), in order for your article’s SEO to benefit.

    Frankly, even if articles are as “flat”, superfluous, and wrong English, as the comments almost anyone gets, then those articles won’t benefit from more of that kind of “language” (in the comments) either.

    And conversely, if your articles are brilliant in all these regards, then comments spidered TOGETHER with them can only LOWER your SEO of those articles.

    Common sense, isn’t it? Or, correct me where I go wrong?
