Follow Up:

The two galleries having the issue show that they contain 1 item more than they actually do.
The gallery with 5 images says “item 1 of 6,” “item 2 of 6,” etc. And that mysterious 6th item is the one that can’t load.

Same for the other gallery that only contains 2 images. “item 1 of 3” etc.
