All sorted now ??

Whilst I was waiting for your reply I disabled some Network Activated plugins & the slider kicked in which never showed up before. All works fine now. I had previously disabled all plugins for that site but no joy but I never thought to check Network Activated. Thanks for all your help, Zulfikar, you’ve been a great help. Great plugin too by the way! ??

Thanks for replying. It was network activated but isn’t now as I just changed it to site by site & that has freed up the others to be edited as I want to any time. The main site is no change though, still when I check the customizer the left bar fills the whole preview view and no changes take effect.

Update: It seems the theme cannot be edited on any of the sites on my multisite. Although they display okay on the other sites I am still unable to make changes such as change from grid to slider or vice versa so it appears at the point it got corrupted on the main site it’s ‘locked’ up editing of the theme on all sites.

All sorted now thanks. Just one small problem now. Using the shortcode you gave me [events_list blog=”12″] gives me all events by author/topic/post subject and all events by venue. In other words kind of duplicates them. Is there a setting for that?

EDIT: Ignore this…..think I’ve spent too long on this because it’s no fault….it’s how I include the venue in the subject title then the widget gets the venue from the actual event so looks like its posting twice. This request for support is now resolved. Thanks for all your help guys, much appreciated!

Okay so here’s my problem. Thanks for that! I knew about & have checked all settings but didn’t know there was another one for the main network. Obviously this is my problem….global tables are off but I’m going to have to duplicate all the posts once I switch it on. I have the duplicate post plugin installed so I will try to duplicate each post in to a draft then publish them with global tables on…..will that work or will the global tables need to be active even to create the draft?

Thanks for your input Caimin. Unfortunately that doesn’t work either. I’ve tried to add the code supplied in both the ‘Events’ widget & also as a shortcode in a Text HTML widget. I’m trying to add the Events from site (blog) 12 on to the main site in the sidebar (actually the footer on my theme) not as a shortcode in a page or post.

No Angelo, I wanted to show the blog 12 events in the main site. Thanks for responding Marcus, the exact code is as follows;

[events_list blog=”12″]#_CUSTOMEVENTLINK [/events_list]

That’s the code I am trying to add to my main site to bring up the site with the blog id of 12’s events.

My main site is 1, my subsite is 12.

That wasn’t a typo……the blog id IS ’12’ for mine. Still won’t work.

Thanks for replying. I’ve tried the shortcut you posted changing the blog=”1,2,3″ to “blog=”12” as mine is but it reports ‘No Events’. There are upcoming events from next Saturday so they should be shown. Any ideas what’s stopping them from being displayed. Only the blog id is different from your exact shortcode.
