Can you log in to your dashboard again at the wp-login address?

If you changed your site URL to ../blog, then your wp-admin and wp-login URLs will also change.

I think Java is an option. I just checked my Atahualpa theme options and it says: “Animate the page menu bar with Javascript?” Mine is set to No, but the dropdowns still work. https://www.patiastephens.com if you want to see.

So, I’ve tried the first three recommendations on that page and none of them have worked.

Also, please note that I was not changing the SITE URL in settings when this occurred; I was changing the URL FORMAT (ie, the format that blog post URLs use).

Try going to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets. Then just drag the widgets out of the sidebars.

The ones at the bottom of the page might be in Appearance > Theme options.

Not sure about your third question, sorry.

Does it help to adjust Settings > Reading > Front page displays …?

For your profile, click on Users (left side of dashboard), then your username.

Personally, I didn’t mind the first email too much. But the second one got on my nerves, and then you tried to contact me a third time on Facebook. (And a fourth to apologize!) Four totally unsolicited contacts.

Anyway, why didn’t you just leave a comment in the WordPress forum that I started? Since you’re a WordPress expert, maybe you should get involved in the forums and offer helpful advice, while advertising your services in your signature.

I was finally able to log in to myPHP on GoDaddy and follow the instructions for changing those URLs in the database. That did the trick.

Songdog: I think the style sheet weirdness is inherent in the way the Atahualpa theme is set up, which I’ve been told is very odd. (Just my luck, to pick out an odd theme.)
