I was able to add debug code to the plugin and realize that the actual error message was “There are no HTTP transports available which can complete the requested request”. A quick call to my hosting provider resolved the issue.

Displaying the actual error message instead of the generic Invalid Status Code would have helped me resolve this issue in much less time.

I renamed my plugin directory
then changed my theme to twenty twelve
then went to updates. Still said I was on the latest version.

No upgrade yet….

This is still not giving me a prompt for the update. I went into the wp_options table to delete the update_core record and it is not there.

I am still getting warnings for my plugin updates and they are able to update with no issues.

Anyone? This is an issue for our client who is not very computer savy.

My hack actually worked for the site, but broke the admin side. Must be something that I am missing. Hopefully this can be fixed soon ??

I can replicate this, but I don’t know how to fix it.
