Sorry I was to the point where I was trying anything and everything and left that there. It is now removed and still no luck.

I use Firebug and the like all the time. Look at the links in the content area on this page: https://dunkingfrogs.com/?page_id=149 . They are supposed to be green but are instead the default theme color (teal blue color). Take a look at the link at let me know if it looks like a selector problem.

Here is the code from parent theme:

article a {color: #2eb396;}

It should be this shade of green –> #6c9d30

Figured it out! I had the pages set to private because I was just using them for the purposes of the home page slider. Interestingly enough, you are still able to see the images that way in Chrome but not in IE. Thanks for your help!

I went ahead and tried the update and that solved the issue with the hover on the social media icons.

I haven’t updated the theme yet. But this was happening before there was any update available. I am using IE 11 and in IE all social media icons change color on the hover but the home page slider is nowhere to be found. In Chrome (Version 32.0.1700.76 m), only the Google+ works on hover (it’s the first of four icons from right to left) but the home page slider works perfectly.

Take that back. Only one of the social media icons changes color on hover (Google+) in Chrome.

I actually found it but changed the original file instead of the child-theme file. Worked perfectly! Thanks for quick reply!

Esmi: Thanks for the tip. I edit locally before I make any changes. The distance between the header and the first post on my “news” page is larger than those of my pages (Home, Discography, Singles). Any idea how to fix this issue?

Thanks for the tips. I’m not looking for a definitive fix per se. I was just hoping that someone more knowledgeable could take a look at the code and tell me what they think is causing it. That way, I could start making tweaks in the appropriate area to try and fix it. I know it’s something relatively simple. When you mouse-over a button on the menu bar it expands the button to the full width of the menu bar and stacks everything.
