Thanks for trying to help, Collin. I just made my own button and linked it to our PayPal landing page, which has radio buttons. That will work OK for us, so we won’t really need the plugin. I appreciate your effort!

We don’t have any cache / optimizer plugins, and I’m not sure what you mean by “default WordPress theme.” Is there such a thing? And if there were, would that mean we couldn’t use the theme we have (Zakra)? I’m OK with trying a different theme, but is there a way to know which ones work correctly with the donate plugin?
Again, thanks for any help!
Not exactly. The dropdown amounts are NEVER zero because that’s not an option, but the PayPal landing page that opens once you select a dropdown amount and press the “donate” button always has zero. In other words, the amounts from the dropdown are not getting passed to the PayPal landing page.
I don’t know how to post screenshots here (the image option requires a URL so I can’t just paste in something on my computer), but if you don’t mind just checking out the donate function itself our not-yet-linked page is https:sfbayffrf.org/donate
Thanks for any help!
Update: I found the same fields in Settings -> Basics, and that one had the Gmail address in it. I don’t know how it got there or why the same fields in the newsletter form had different addresses, but I think it might be OK now.
Thank you — that worked great! I appreciate the assistance.
I created a temporary page on the site using MailPoet, and put the screenshot there. As you can see, the styling options when I click on the footer are a small subset of the normal options available to all of the other text blocks in my MailPoet newsletter:
Thanks for the response! I do not have that extensive styling option box when editing footer text. I took a screen shot of what I see and will try to post it here, but in case it doesn’t work I’ll describe it: There are only six options. B for bold, I for italic, link icon, unlink icon, text color, and shortcode icon. That’s it.
I just tried, but apparently can’t insert a screenshot because it requires a URL. There doesn’t seem to be a way to just drag or upload a jpeg here.

By the way, I *DO* see the full styling box when I edit all other text in my newsletters. The limited option box only appears when I click in the footer.

In reply to: [Backup Migration] Backup successful but restore on new site failedThanks for the info, Mixha! The funny thing is, the process actually worked even though it said it failed. Everything seems to work just fine. Thanks for such an easy-to-use plugin!

In reply to: [Backup Migration] Backup successful but restore on new site failedUpdate: The error message still says the restore failed, but the new site appears to be complete and seems to work fine! Mystery.
Thanks for the reply, Bruna. We don’t sell anything, and our simple nonprofit site uses MailPoet just to send email and newsletters, so we have no need or desire to track anyone’s activity. I’m glad that the “partial” option does not do anything more than check for opens, clicks, bounces, and unsubscribes. Even that is really more than we need, but at least it isn’t intrusive.
Thank you so much for the fast, positive response! I’ll be using this plugin to set up an online petition through our site. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond, and also for creating the plugin in the first place!

In reply to: [Contact Form 7 Captcha] Trouble configuring reCAPTCHAI feel dumb for having to ask, but I also don’t understand how to add a “reCAPTCHA widget” to the CF7 plugin. If it were just an HTML page I could do it, but I don’t know what I need to modify or where to put it. I have my site key and secret code, I filled in the key fields for “Integration with Other Services,” I installed the CF7 Simple Recaptcha and filled in the key fields there, but still nothing. What exactly is the final step? Sorry if I’m missing something simple!

In reply to: No admin area when logged in via wp-adminSince your friend is probably not comfortable making changes to the database via the My PHPAdmin tool in the cpanel …
I can do this for him, so I’ll have him log into his DreamHost account and take care of it. Thanks again.
Marking topic “resolved.”

In reply to: No admin area when logged in via wp-adminThanks for the speedy replies, Brett and Walter. It appears certain, then, that my friend doesn’t have admin privilege even though he was able to log in via wp-admin.
I’m pretty new to WP, and I thought “normal” users logged in using wp-login and “admin” users came in via wp-admin. It must not actually matter, though.
