thanks to both of you…turns out it was a linking issue. The fix for anyone that had the problem can be found here:

Now the main site appears to be working but NONE of the pages or posts are. Now I get this:

“The page isn’t redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

* This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.”

Yeah, all I had to do was add the </form> tag and it worked.

Ok thanks, sorry I’m not too experienced with WordPress yet…how would I edit search.php to not show the ads?

I’ve checked out all those posts, and they don’t really have the answer I’m looking for. I managed to get the sidebar to appear, but first of all it’s blank, so I want to know how to get my default sidebar to show up, and second, in firefox the one line of code I changed shows up on top of my header.

Anyone know?

when transferring to a new host (but same domain), will my site be unavailable? and if so, for how long?

Will using that third link allow me to login again? Because I can’t follow that second link’s instructions unless I can access my blog, right?
