In reply to: All of a sudden, my feed isn't going outA caching plugin can speed up your site, but more importantly if your site gets linked by a HUGE site and sends 10,000 people clicking to your site at the same time a caching plugin will make it so your site survives. Search for slashdot effect or digg effect and you’ll see why it matters.
Of course, if you never get a huge amount of traffic to your site, then it won’t matter.

In reply to: All of a sudden, my feed isn't going outW3 will cause the same issue. I saw some tutorial in my searches on how to make an exception in it so it doesn’t do it for feeds.
Side Note: Sounds like you need to drive more traffic so that you will miss a caching plugin.

In reply to: All of a sudden, my feed isn't going outLooks like it was WP Super Cache causing the problem. I had the same issue again, but then disabled it and it worked. Then, I started digging into WP Super Cache’s config and it looks like I had to change it from “Use PHP to serve cache files.” to “Use mod_rewrite to serve cache files.” and I think it’s working now.
I still need to test a bit more, but I need some new posts to be created to really test it.

In reply to: All of a sudden, my feed isn't going outNope. Although, I just disabled all my plugins which jacked up my rewrite rules. So, I copied the rewrite rules back into my .htaccess file and the rss worked again. I’ve enabled all the plugins again. We’ll see if one of them still causes problems. That’s the next test on my list.

In reply to: Feed Not Updating After Post on WP multisiteSorry I was disabling all the plugins so I could see if it was a plugin conflict. When I disabled them, it lost a bunch of the rewrite rules for some reason.
I then put the rewrite rules back into the .htaccess file and tested the feed and it was working. So, I activated the feedburner plugin and had it ping the site and now the feed is updated.
Not sure if the rewrite rules were part of the problem or one of the other plugins. I’ll have to keep an eye on it for a little while to see why this happened. The other feeds in the MU install have refreshed too.

In reply to: All of a sudden, my feed isn't going outDid you ever figure out which plugin was causing the problem? I’m having the same issue and can’t for the life of me figure out which plugin is causing the feed not to update.
Hi KristyS,
I visited your blog feed and the images are showing up fine for me.It seems that mine isn’t even posting the posts to the feed. Stopped about a week ago, but mine is WP multisite, so it might be something to do with that.
I’m having this same issue. Although, for me it’s only an issue on my WPMU (multisite) where the feed isn’t getting updated. At least it hasn’t since 1/19 or so. I have a feeling it is related to a WP update that I think I did around that time.
I did the save, but I don’t imagine that’s going to go back and get the old posts that its missed the last month. Or will it?
The odd thing of the stats saying a post is deleted is that if you go into the stats on the site itself instead of the WP.com stats dashboard it doesn’t show deleted. I guess the way it looks up the title and permalink is different.
My biggest problem with the Jetpack upgrade is that it cut my stats in half after the upgrade. As I looked at my footer, it looks like I had 2 wp_footer() that might have been counting it double and now it doesn’t. Unfortunately this has caused a lot of trouble for me since I’ve told advertisers the previous stats number. I’d like to have it counting double again. Is there any way to revert that back?

In reply to: Almost all posts on stats system are marked "deleted"???I have the same issue. Seems like it’s a problem on the WP.com stats side of things connecting with the various blogs to get the title/permalink. Interesting that it works fine if you see the stats on the site itself and not on WP.com. Too bad all my bookmarks are for the stats page on WP.com.

In reply to: Good WP Multisite Main Blog ThemeCertainly any theme could be used with WordPress MU, but I’m hoping people know of some good WP themes that are designed well to highlight the other blogs and posts that are in the network. Any ideas?
Andrea_r,
Other than “WP Sitewide Tag Pages plugin” are there any other plugins which help to leverage the theme to show the other blogs and posts?
