In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce image sizes keeps changingI’m not a woo rep, but I’ve implemented woo dozens of times on custom and off-the-shelf themes. I’ve never come across woo resetting the image sizes. Could it be something in your theme or a plugin doing this? Next time there’s a woo update, try it on a separate demo version of your site – switch off all other plugins, set to a basic WordPress theme and update woo – see if it changes your image sizes.
As an aside, if you have uploaded images and they’re in the wrong sizes, try this plugin to regenerate them all again with one click. Just set your image sizes as you want, then go to tools > regenerate thumbs:
https://en-gb.www.ads-software.com/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/I use it all the time, you may find it useful too.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Variable Product Image Not ChangingThis sounds like a theme issue. Which theme are you using? Check if it has an update too – I’m pretty sure Woo v3 had some changes around the product images. Your theme author has probably updated their theme to accommodate this. If your theme is custom you’ll need to get a developer to make changes.
Sorry to drag up an old topic, but I just searched the forums for this exact issue – I couldn’t believe ithemes is recommending 444 for wp-config.
Server permissions aren’t my forte, but 444 would give public read access to the file wouldn’t it?
Love the plugin by the way, just checking if this is an oversight from the plugin devs or my misunderstanding of permissions…
I’m not seeing anything in the dashboard after recently installing, perhaps it’s time-based to show after a short time?
Funnily enough I just opened up the plugin page to post a feature request to move the ‘Nextgenthemes’ option from the main menu in the admin interface. It clearly belongs under ‘Settings’.
Unless your plugin is adding a new post type such as ‘Events’ or ‘Forms’ or something, it shouldn’t be adding to the top level on the admin nav – if every plugin did that the nav would be twice the length – it’s a pet hate of mine. This plugin’s settings belong under ‘Settings’.

In reply to: [Carousel Horizontal Posts Content Slider] Doesn’t workHi, I’m not affiliated with the plugin, but it works for me.
If you’re using the shortcode, make sure you choose a post category from settings > CHPC Slider, it didn’t work for me until I did this.

In reply to: Unable to access wp-adminHi johnbradford – did you manage to figure out your issue? Are you using an ipad at all? I’ve had a report of this issue from a client on an ipad, just trying to figure it out…

In reply to: [Loco Translate] Translations lost with update woocommerceThanks for coming back to me so quickly, it’s much appreciated.
I guess in the short term I could just lock down the files with permissions to prevent them being overwritten.
Thanks again

In reply to: [Loco Translate] Translations lost with update woocommerceHi,
Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but could you please clarify regarding the directory needed for WooCommerce files?
I have the global directory set-up as /wp-content/languages/themes/.
When I edited Woo transations through the plugin, they dropped into: /wp-content/languages/plugins/
They work from there, but they get overwritten after a short time. I tried manually moving the Woo translation files to /wp-content/languages/themes/ and I also tried /wp-content/languages/themes/woocommerce/ but neither work.
Which is the correct location where they won’t get overwritten?
Thanks for your work with the plugin too, I’m always blown away by how much time and effort people contribute to their plugins!

In reply to: [Event Organiser] Calendar Widget Month NavigationHi Stephen,
I think you’re right – after some digging it looks like it’s a custom widget.
I didn’t build the site, and I just incorrectly assumed it was a widget from your plugin, especially as it breaks between those versions of your plugin I mentioned.
Thanks for taking a look and coming back to me – amazing support as always.
Regards

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Really?Interesting, thanks for the extra info, I’ll check out All In One, and also look into performance on a few client sites.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Really?Hi, I’m just reading through the reviews – as a developer I’ve implemented Yoast SEO on dozens of client sites, I didn’t realise it had deteriorated as people are stating.
Are you able to say how exactly version 3 affected your site? Do you know exactly why your site fell down the rankings, and how you can attribute it to the Yoast plugin?
I’m not defending the plugin or disputing the reviews – there are clearly many people sharing your frustrations, I’m just keen to know *how* the plugin has deteriorated
Thanks
