In reply to: [Collapse Magic (CLAPS)] Not Working in Amp PagesThank you for your feedback. I had not considered AMP pages.
AMP has strict limitations on JavaScript, including the fact that jQuery is not allowed. Unfortunately this plugin relies heavily on JQuery and I would have to replace all the dynamic features that rely on jQuery with AMP-compliant components or approaches.I regret that I cannot therefore provide a quick solution to help you with this but I will consider how to build this for AMP pages in a future release. Thank you for highlighting this as a potential future improvement.

In reply to: [Collapse Magic (CLAPS)] Collapsed text truncated on mobile devicesHi @vmike, @whatthedickens ,
I fixed the text restriction issue and tested the plugin with very long text. All seems to be OK now in the new version (1.3.1). Thank you for your proactive feedback and for helping me identify this improvement.
Please rate the plugin if it meets your needs and if you find it useful.

In reply to: [Collapse Magic (CLAPS)] Collapsed text truncated on mobile devicesHi @vmike,
Thank you for the feedback. I am travelling for the next 2 weeks and will try to find a fix for this when I get back. Sorry I can’t do this sooner.
In theory there should be no limit, but I am sure that there must be something restricting your text. I will let you know if I find anything. In the meantime, I hope that you can use 2 or more collapsible blocks to get by with until a solution is found.

In reply to: [Collapse Magic (CLAPS)] run shortcodeHi Bob (@bob33 ),
I implemented your suggestion and the toggle text now can be placed above or below the text block. There is a switch at ‘settings>collapse magic>Toggle Above’ in the dashboard that will allow you to select the option you want.
I think this is a nice enhancement, thank you for your suggestion.

In reply to: [Collapse Magic (CLAPS)] run shortcodeHi Bob
Thank you for your suggestion. I will add this to our next update and try to get something out within the next week.
Collapse Magic was a replacement that we had to get out there as quickly as possible when collapse-o-matic support stopped and security concerns were raised. We were using collapse-o-matic on our sites and needed a fix hence the plugin which we decided to share.
Any suggestions therefore are very welcome and I will get back to you on this.

In reply to: [Collapse Magic (CLAPS)] Does not workThank you. Your feedback is much appreciated. This was part of the intended functionality, where the user could choose to display a block of the text and fades this to the ‘read more’ label to encourage the visitor to read further by clicking the ‘read more’. There is a setting in settings>collapse magic>Block Height. If you select 1px from the drop-down, then there will be no text shown and no fade (it will just show or hide the entire block).
I can understand why this is confusing and I therefore changed the default to not fade. The default is now to just hide or show the text. I also reviewed my help documentation to make this added functionality more clear. The new version is now in place. I hope you will reconsider trying the plugin again.
Thank you again for your feedback.

In reply to: [Collapse Magic (CLAPS)] Does not workAgain this response tells me nothing and it is nothing more than trolling the forum if you are not prepared to advise what is wrong with the plugin or suggest improvements.
1 star, 1 liners suggest that you are hijacking the plugin which is a shame because the plugin is offered free of charge with the intention of helping others. If you want to provide anything with benefit to the WordPress forum then give some insight into the problems otherwise, just stop wasting everyone’s time.
I am committed to providing a useful plugin to WordPress and will gladly respond to and constructive advice on any problems that may exist or any suggested improvements.
I request that reviewers / moderators remove any messages and ratings like this one from @mariusenepaq these add no value to the forum and discourage users from finding valid solutions.

In reply to: [Collapse Magic (CLAPS)] Not workingThank you for your feedback, but I am afraid that your comment isn’t very helpful to me if I am to resolve this issue as you have provided almost no information about the issue.
Please could you provide a little more information like what happened when the plugin was installed, what you tried to resolve the issue, which site this occurred on, what your setup was… anything.
This plugin is on a number of sites where it is working fine, so it may be related to some conflict with something on your site or it may be something we overlooked. Any proactive information from you about the observed problem will be a great help and we will be committed investigate a solution and potentially improve the plugin for everyone based on your feedback.
The banner problem has been resolved. I appreciate the good response from the developers and hope that similar future information gathering will not be used.
Overall this is a very good plugin and is deserving of all the 5 star ratings it has received. Unfortunately it is not possible to update a rating on www.ads-software.com otherwise I would increase the rating now that the problem has been resolved.
