Strange… I have just successfully one click updated All-in-One from 1.4.5.8 >> 1.4.6.1 on two of my sites.

According to the two above posts, does this not necessarily mean that they have successfully updated?

I may change this with v7.5 going forward, until then you’d have to upgrade the ‘old fashioned way’.

I see you’ve upgraded to 7.5–but that one click doesn’t update it automatically yet. Tried it on two of my sites from 7.4 > 7.5 and 7.3 to 7.5 and both didn’t work.

Please don’t feel pressured to get it working with One Click if you don’t deem it feasible. cforms is so excellent that it is one plugin that I will gladly manually upgrade!!

hmmm.. very strange. I just attempted to automatically update from 1.4.5.5 > 1.4.5.6 on my one site and it didn’t work. Then I tried the very same upgrade on another site and it worked.

So I’ll mark this as resolved as it must be a problem on my side.

BlueHost are fantastic. It just takes a little legwork/elbowgrease to know what’s going on. If you’re going to self-host, you have to have a general idea of what’s going on. I would say it’s almost a necessity to be semi-technical if you’re going to self-host anything. kitkaplan, every good wish to you! Hope you get sorted ??

I am pretty convinced that this problem arises in a Fantastico installation of WP. I installed WP (through Fant.) using the username “admin” and the link then does not return a 404. Then on my other blog, when I input “David Peyton” as the username, it 404’ed me.

Oh that sounds a bit lame on www.ads-software.com’s part. Anyway, I hope you get it sorted out with the WP folk.

Perhaps I’m just talking from a non-techie perspective–but isn’t the “One Click” process pretty simple? Isn’t it just: download, extract and replace essentially? If that’s the case, I imagine that there shouldn’t really be anything to be paranoid over?

Yes, sorry that was ambiguous. What I mean is: is cforms one of the few (or many) plugins that don’t get updated via “One Click Plugin Updater”?

BTW–I only realised yesterday that you must be Oliver Seidel. Thank you so much for the fantastic plugin. It is one of the best I’ve ever come across. On a par with PodPress in excellence.

I have the same problem (with no solution). You may want to consider rewording and elaborating on your question though. I only understood because I’m experiencing the same problem.

Chris, I see both your links don’t work.

I was wondering if you (or anyone else) have figured out the solution to this problem. I believe it has something to do with the installation of wordpress through Fantastico.

Perhaps another wordpress fundi would be so kind as to help us out!
