In reply to: [Plugin Detective - Troubleshooting Conflicts] White screen mid-investigation@imjeanneus yes, technically you can let Plugin Detective be in the middle of a step for many hours. And then when it happens, you can click “it’s broken”, so you could afford to be patient waiting for the problem to materialize on staging
Plugin Detective also randomly selects the groups of plugins to try, so sometimes you get lucky when trying it 2 or 3 times.
Best of luck!

In reply to: [Plugin Detective - Troubleshooting Conflicts] White screen mid-investigationHi @imjeanneus it sounds like you might have an intermittent problem (or one only triggered during updates or something) which can be the hardest thing to troubleshoot. If it’s a whitescreen, generally you should be clicking the “it’s broken” step in Plugin Detective. All that said, Plugin Detective is a helpful tool but with intermittent problems or those that only appear in very specific combinations, it may not be able to figure it out. Hope that helps, SPM is on WPEngine so I’m assuming you’re hosted there. You could clone to a staging site and run Plugin Detective (and other experiments) there?
PS. it’s a very fast response, but I’m not a bot, you just happened to catch me right as I was on wp.org ??
Thanks @jdcohan we appreciate your kind words ??
Hi @lemoustic we have recently been working on our integration Polylang. There have been some challenges to making the translation work with our interactive image maps, but we’ve been able to work through them and should have a guide posted on our site in the coming weeks showing how to use Polylang with Draw Attention free ??
Hi @lionelipacs thanks for getting in touch. Our custom capabilities with the Members plugin should let you control who can edit settings, who can edit appointment types, and who can manage the list of appointments. Some screenshots and details here: https://simplyscheduleappointments.com/guides/using-members-plugin/#setting-the-role-permissions
In our basic edition, we don’t really have a concept of individual users. But the business edition does have a built-in role for “Team Member” which allows someone to log in and see only the appointments assigned to them. They can also manage their working hours and connect a Google Calendar so that their personal calendar events aren’t booked over. Editing of the appointment types is global though, so you’d need to set up a global appointment type like “Sales Call” and then assign team members to it.
Please let us know if you have any other questions!

Hi @jdcohan, yes canceled appointments can be deleted by accessing the “three dots menu” when looking at the details of the appointment. We have a screenshot and some more details here: https://ssappts.com/guides/changing-booked-appointments/#appointment-details-page

In reply to: [Simple Client Dashboard] Errors after activatingThank you @hakonzen I always intended to come back to this plugin but it took me way longer than I’d intended. I’m also happy to be bringing it up to date and improving it again ??

In reply to: [Simple Client Dashboard] Errors after activating@hakonzen we were able to prioritize a quickfix. Could you please update to v2.1.7.11 and see if that resolves the error notices you’re seeing?

In reply to: [Simple Client Dashboard] Errors after activatingthanks for letting us know @hakonzen we will get a fix released next week
Hi @sarahwnyc some hosts block direct access to PHP inside wp-content/plugins/ (which is actually a good practice for security purposes). If GoDaddy allows you to add explicit paths to an allowlist, you’ll want to allow direct PHP execution under the path
wp-content/plugins/plugin-detective/troubleshoot/*
but only some hosts allow this fine-grain control. If not, unfortunately there’s no way to run Plugin Detective on this site. We built it to run outside of WordPress so that it could safely run even if the site has a fatal error.
Please let us know if you have any other questions
Hi @sshahid12, the Gravity Forms field is part of our plus (and above) edition of Simply Schedule Appointments. We have some more details on the integration here: https://simplyscheduleappointments.com/integrations/gravity-forms/

In reply to: [Interactive Image Map Plugin - Draw Attention] Site VulnerabilityThanks @baynem we’ve worked with the security team and released v2.0.15 which mitigates the security vulnerability (which only affects contributor-level users who could theoretically be tricked into clicking a link that imports Draw Attention images)
This is mostly resolved but we’re following up on one more best practice which will be released in v2.0.16 next week.
Thanks again for getting in touch,
Nathan@rklrkl there would be some security/reliability issues with changing the directory name as you describe. I’m afraid we’re likely stuck with the directory, but I will do some investigation on our side to see what’s possible.
In your case, it sounds like there’s some issue affecting the SSA updates in general and WP-CLI is just reflecting the same behavior that WP Admin is. I’d recommend manually updating with the zip file this once and see if it is something that just affects that 2.6.5.12 version. If you don’t have direct access to your client’s account, please email us and reference this thread. Our team can help you get it sorted out.
Thanks,
NathanHi @rklrkl thanks for getting in touch. This sounds frustrating, I’ll try to share some of our thinking and also possible approaches for improving the situation you’re in with updates.
We originally decided to keep the same plugin directory name so that users could easily upgrade/downgrade between editions without the directory name changing or having the risk of multiple editions installed alongside each other. We don’t have the free core + add-on model, so if you install SSA Plus, you shouldn’t have SSA Free installed. Also, if a user upgrades from SSA Plus to SSA Pro, an in-dashboard update has to keep the same plugin directory, otherwise the plugin will be deactivated after update.
Bottom line, we aren’t able to change the directory name now (for any reason), because doing so would disable the plugin for all users after an update. For example, if we did as you proposed and changed simply-schedule-appointments to simply-schedule-appointments-plus, the next time someone updated, the directory would change to simply-schedule-appointments-plus *but* WP doesn’t have that slug in the list of active plugins so it would be deactivated. So unfortunately, whether our thinking was right or wrong 5 years ago (there’s plenty I would change given a time machine), we can’t change it now ??
All that said, SSA paid editions *should* be compatible with wp-cli updates as long as a valid license key is active. We are supposed to be handling paid support off of these forums, so please email us [email protected] and we can continue looking into that with you (since it sounds like it isn’t happening as expected)
Thanks,
Nathan
