Thanks, but the theme would be downloaded from woothemes.com so I guess it’s not there? That’s why I asked about the manual installation.

Thanks! What about the changes I’ve made to Suffusion theme, there’s custom background, wrapper, favicon, headline colors etc. Will these be gone if I activate the other theme,or will they be saved for any possible further use? If I change back to suffusion I mean will they be there…

    Thanks for the reply!

Hopefully you (or anyone ?? )could clarify to me a little more about this image change; so I go to ftp to view that particular theme’s folder, and find the image I want to change and …

Then what – do I just replace the image I want with a new one (with this example it would be the background image and the “boat” image)? Then remove the old one?

How do I name the new image to ensure it’s going to the background and replaces the old one. I assume I name it with the same name “background” or how do I do it..?

This part I think I can handle if I can do it without touching any html code.

But with style.css sheet html coding and font changes I don’t know.
A question about the fonts; I went to see that style.css and found the font part of it.

The current font is white – so if I want to change it to for example blue – do I just delete the white from there and type in “blue” or some kind of “code number” to blue color?

How do I know what to type there…?

How about the font size – if I want bigger font, do I just replace the current size by typing in a bigger number….?

Excuse me for silly questions but I really don’t know anything about html.

And when I logged out and tried to login there was again that “fatal error” message just like the last time I tried doing this autoupdate…

Ok, so I did the automatic update and now it has again got stucked with this text; Update WordPress

    Downloading update from https://www.ads-software.com/wordpress-3.1.zip…

    Unpacking the update…

    Verifying the unpacked files…

    Installing the latest version…

And nothing happens. When I try to go to dashboard, it has this “briefly unavailable for scheduled maintanance. Check back in a minute”

    I don’t understand what I did wrong…

Thanks for the info – ok will do it. I just hope it’ll succeed this time.

Do you recommend doing automatic or manual?

The thing is that I don’t really understand about any technical stuff so much, I followed directions to the detail the last time but it failed anyway….

But the problem was I had wrong host name, ftp user and ftp password when updating automatically the first time – so do you think the automatic update will be ok now that I for sure have the right ones?
