I have since had one other bad download of another plugin’s zip folder, so there is something else going on that is probably not connected to this plugin. I am going to mark this resolved, for the plugin’s sake and do more research.

I insert adsense, and I want ads displayed between posts on my home and category pages. On those pages, with it set to display 3 ads with the random setting, the three ads are always displayed in a row, either in the first three or second three spots, and always below the content.

I tried using top, random, and bottom placements, but that was even worse, with one ad above the content (which in my case is a video), one below, and the next above the next video. All cramped and messy looking.

Using random is still the best option.

I haven’t found coding to work well, and no other ads plugin I’ve found displays ads between posts. At least the ads themselves change. lol

Right on, esmi. That’s the only code I could get to work with Twenty Twelve because of its odd php tag placements.

The only problem I had was that I wanted more than one ad, and when I tried that, it placed ads with every post, and I ended up with yellowish ad place holders after the 3 max (Google AdSense).

display:none had no effect on the ids, and placing the code inside divs and trying to collapse them did not work either (besides, I did not know if having theme there was violating Google’s TOU.

Finally the Ad Injection plugin came to my rescue.

For now, I just rename the file to start with the first few digits/letters of the full name, then change it back to installer before using it.

It is not responsive. It stays the same size regardless of the screen size. It is nice looking, and functions well, but it is not responsive.

I decided that I was going to fine tune my sites (I run 9 WordPress sites on that one shared server account) [did I mention that before :-|] to see if they could be made efficient enough to make a difference.

I:
*removed all extraneous databases
*installed the best db optimizer plugin I could find
*installed the best caching plugin I could find
*installed the best security plugins I could find

After finally finishing updating all of the sites a couple of days ago, the improvement has been significant.

The back and frontend pages are now loading in 2 to 9 seconds.

Now of course, HostMonster may have just happened to do something about the server as well. But things are much better now.

On that free hosting place I mentioned above though, page loads are almost always a blazing 2 to 3 seconds for both front and back end load times. So fast that I am using your plugin to move my biggest slowest site over there to work on it, and then I move it back to update the domain on HostMonster.

HostMonster was just as fast when I first started with them 3 years ago (and with my new and improved websites, they are not bad now). Other than the runaround I got with this latest problem, I have found their support to be top notch, and most of the time the calls are answered within a minute (and phone support is available 24/7 by the way). And another good thing about HostMonster, if I do decide to move, is that they will give a prorated refund for the remainder of my contract with them. So you really have noting to loose by trying them out.

Please, if others have had good luck with HostMonster, chime in here.

I just tried it on a fresh install and it works perfectly.

I now have recommended links, media gallery, related articles, suggested tags.

I am looking forward to using it on some real posts and writing a review.

There is a blank space between the videos and the social links where the iTunes album widgets should be.

<bla bla bla> I just had a fiasco with an XCloner restore. After restoration, my login screen was blank. Removing the XCloner plugin folder fixed that. Upon reactivating the rest of my plugins, I had fatal error warnings for 3 of my plugins, and needed to delete and reinstall them. The post editor edit area, on existing posts, was blank, I needed to reinstall WordPress to bring it back. My social icons did not display and I needed to reinstall that plugin…

And the iTunes widgets are not displaying. I deleted and reinstalled Music Affiliate Pro to no avail. I thought that this was a continuing part of the XCloner saga. </bla bla bla>

I am seeing the album widget with Album Discovery now at the link you included, Brady. Do you think mine is an iTunes problem or something else?

I just lost the post editor (blank input area) after a faulty backup restore. Reinstalling WordPress from the updates area fixed it.
