Yes that is disconcerting. I haven’t tried to remove it yet because it’s gonna be a chore.

The webnus.net site is up and fully functioning. Just went there. There is a huge discussion about this on reddit. Search for “Modern Event Calendar Lite (100K+ active installations) Permanently Closed by www.ads-software.com.”

I just saw this same thing with a couple of my sites that use the plugin. It would be nice to see what the reason is – e.g., security issues, etc. It would be a lot of work to replace this plugin; there are so few that are even half way decent without charging an arm and a leg.

Ugh! My bad! I was editing in Chrome (so had the admin bar at the top) but was simply viewing it in FireFox where there was no admin bar. Even though I didn’t have the “Admin bar” feature ticked, it apparently was compensating for it so I was setting the wrong distance from the top. To view it correctly in Chrome, I have to log in, make the change in distance from the top, log out, and then view. I explained all that in case someone else experiences the same thing. Love the plugin!

Thank you! I got it working now! When you mentioned the user name not matching, I realized that when I put the channel id into the form, it automatically populated the user name field; but it put the title of the page rather than the actual user name. When I changed the field to the right user name and saved it, the short code did update correctly. I put the new short code up and all is well! Thank you!

Yeah, actually I’m having the same problem. I just downloaded the plugin 1 day after you posted your response – I don’t think your resolution solves my problem. Like johndtray, I have done all the steps, the videos from my channel show at the bottom of the YourChannel settings page, but when I enter the short code on my home page, nothing shows up (not even the short code text itself). My short code has remained the same as it is my channel title (not id). Here’s a link: https://www.befitpt.com.
