  • Hi expertoswp,

That is a good question that I do not know the answer to. I’ve opened an issue for this on the Stop Emails project on GitHub.

    https://github.com/salcode/stop-emails/issues/13

    Hey gentlemen,

Actually, Easy WP SMTP plugin has a feature to block all outgoing emails (if this is what you’re looking for). If you enable “Enable Domain Check” option and put in something that is NOT your website’s domain name and then also check “Block all emails”, the plugin will try to block all outdoing emails from your website if the domain name doesn’t match with the one you entered blow “Enable Domain Check” option.

@expertoswp, just tested and looks like Stop Emails is working as expected with Easy WP SMTP – it blocks outgoing emails when enabled. So you can feel yourself free to use it. Or try the method described in previous post (in that case you won’t need additional plugin), whichever you prefer.

Thanks for checking this out @alexanderfoxc.

I’ve updated this information on the Stop Emails project issue.

    Have a great day.

    Thank you @salcode.

I think we can consider this case closed ??

Hey! Thank you very much @alexanderfoxc and @salcode for testing and confirming. ??

The method with the plugin is much better because I can install and activate it with WP CLI and I do not need to enter into the admin. Which is a great advantage for staging sites. ??

Got it, @expertoswp. You solution sounds like a good idea ??

With Easy WP SMTP, you just need to enter your live domain name when enabling domain check (and enabling “Block all emails” option) and this should stop all outgoing emails on staging as well. This is what this option was actually made for in the first place.

But if you’re happy with your current setup – why change it? ??

    Thank you and good luck.
