Thanks for the response, do you know of any plugins that could enable this functionality?

In reply to: Upgrading to 2.6.1 broke my front pageYup, still having issues. I downgraded to 2.5.1, and got the following error messaging trying to get into wp-admin:
Redirect LoopFirefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
The browser has stopped trying to retrieve the requested item. The site is redirecting the request in a way that will never complete.

In reply to: Upgrading to 2.6.1 broke my front pageThanks! The weird thing is, is that I didn’t have this issue in 2.6
Anyone else experiencing these types of issues?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Upgrading to 2.6.1 broke my front pageI also checked under settings —>reading and set the front page to one of my other pages, and I can see the front page fine. The problem only occurs when I check “Your Latest Posts”. I am showing 5 posts, 10 for the xml feed, and I’m displaying the full text. Anybody else experiencing this issue?

In reply to: Version 2.2 brings up warnings and errors on presentation tabAlright, I finally figured it out! Click the “Options” tab, and then in WordPress Address (url), put in “https://localhost” (without the quotation marks).

In reply to: Version 2.2 brings up warnings and errors on presentation tabYes, WordPress does come with two themes, but having more than one in the wp-content/themes/ folder causes the errors and warnings I mention at the top of the thread.
I have tried just having “classic” in the folder, and then just having “default” in the folder, and then just having my current theme in the folder, and no errors are produced, as long as there is only one theme sub-folder in the themes folder.
I thought it may have been specific to a theme, so I tried making a copy of the “classic” theme folder, naming it “classic2”, and uploading both, so that only “classic” and “classic2” were in the themes folder. That produced the errors and warnings again.
So, having two sub-folders in the themes folder seems to cause the errors, regardless of the particular theme.

In reply to: Version 2.2 brings up warnings and errors on presentation tabI reverted back to where I was before the GoDaddy One-Click WordPress install. So now, everything looks okay, but if I have more than one theme in my theme folder, I cannot edit and get the errors described above. I just don’t know what the problem is.

In reply to: Version 2.2 brings up warnings and errors on presentation tabYeah, I’m trying another way, going with the one-click install via GoDaddy, now I have to try to migrate one wp database to another. Still don’t know what was causing the error, but I know better than to upgrade from now on.

In reply to: Upgrading to 2.0.2 broke my plugins!I think I upgraded from 2.0.1. Where do you find out what version you are running? I tried to find that out, to make sure I was at 2.0.1, but I’m pretty sure I upgraded from 2.0.1
Now I’m messing around with my themes too, and I can’t access different themes either. “Fatal error: Call to undefined function: check_admin_referer()”

In reply to: How do I customize permalinks for pages but not posts?Ugh, I decided to completely delete and recreate the page again, so now I have the url I want (https://www.livinginminnesota.com/about-us/). I have much to learn before I become a jedi master. Now, I’m off to learn how to insert description and keywords tags into posts and pages, and a function to list the last 5 blog posts.
Thanks for your help again, but on a sidenote, I think there should be more customizing options so you can have a different url than the page title, I always try to optimize my url/title/description/keyword/h1 tags for google/yahoo.

In reply to: How do I customize permalinks for pages but not posts?Well, I see how to change the permalink structure to /%postname%/, but that isn’t what I’m going after. I just want to be able to customize particular pages urls, and leave the post permalink structure alone. Can I go into the wp_posts table, and manually edit the “guid” field for the page I want to change?

In reply to: call for criticism on site redesignI’m on Firefox, 1440×900 resolution, and your “Numbers” section on the right is wider than the rest of the right column, and spills over into the content. I would try reducing the categories on the right, or add some structure by adding a hierarchy. “The Syndicate” section seems a bit much too, with all of those logos. The dotted line box in the middle with “Recent Comments” and such, try changing the background to a light gray or something, the dotted line outline just doesn’t fit with everything else.
