Just to update everyone – the problem was being caused by the Minify JavaScript function of W3 Total Cache. As soon as I turned of minifying of the JS files everything started working properly without changing the code.

Sorry – never mind that last statement – the CORS issue is for both situations now. More research required on my part.

Actually AJAX is required for this form to work correctly for this situation so that’s not a good solution.

CORS – Cross-origin resource sharing (CORS) – not allowing the MailChimp JavaScript to run on the web page. Odd that it works on the normal page but not in the popup window from this plugin.

Was able to resolve the problem by escaping the <> html tag characters.

Still having a problem with CORS error within the popup that doesn’t happen when this form is used outside the popup.

Having an issue with MailChimp as well.
I noticed it’s very fussy about blank lines – it inserts <p> tags if there are any blank lines in the javascript.

Still getting an error in a weird spot – when adding text to a variable that has html tags within it.

You could try using the previous version and see if that resolves your issue.

I had the same issue with a client after the last update of this plugin. I backed out the update and haven’t had a chance to look into it further yet.

Are you over-riding any of the templates for TML in your theme directory? This is what I was going to check to see if they needed updating …. and see if another update comes out soon to fix the issue.

Seems for me it was the SSL Settings in iThemes Security.
I turned them off and installed WordPress HTTPS plugin instead and everything is working fine again.

We have this same issue after adding SSL Certificate this past weekend.
Any update on this?

If the “Display Random Version” is checked in iThemes then the visual editor stops working for anyone that is not an administrator. Not sure which plugin’s issue this is – but would appreciate a response.

THANK YOU for the pointer to the issue. I just encountered the same problem and found your post – saved me a lot of time!

Since we prefer to keep iThemes protection active on sites I went through all the iThemes settings and found out that it is specifically the “Display Random Version” option at the bottom of the settings. Seems very odd to be the issue – but as soon as I unchecked it the editor started working fine.

Not sure if this is a mqTranslate or an iThemes issues. Can mqTranslate comment please?
