Somehow it seems that the requirements are reached, but somewhere the full installation gets bugged.
I for me, in cases like these, just would drop everything and do a new and clean install, with no strange tweaking, just basics. When something strange happens it usually comes down to mistake or typo I made myself…Forum: Installing WordPress

And a very well-explained answer! I understand you. And you indeed picked up the term “dig” nicely. I spend quite some time there.But good to read your point of view.
I know by own experience that searching the codex and the forums can be really time-consuming, and because of not really knowing what to look for, a personal answer can put you on the right track. (believe me, losing the personal touch of this forum is the LAST I would want…)
Another thing which does not help at this moment (I really hope this is only a matter of time) is that the search function in this support forum does not give answers straight away anymore and one might easily take the short route by just dropping a question.I started this topic only to give the starters an extra incentive to use the codex and maybe just to say: “Your question might have been asked before, so the question is most probably out there too!”
And do not forget: Each post is a contribution to WordPress! (even when it’s a double… ?? )

Points to mention: the “join the mailinglist” and “find a community group” buttons, they are WAY too big… Rest of the site is peaceful, these really break that.
And maybe some “about” would be nice, for me it is not quite clear what/who KALEO is…

Now everything works fine, but a friend of mine still has the prob, even after the upgrade.

In reply to: Theme Blix – no ‘posted by’ commentthe option mentioned by K. is one of the standard options in the script of Blix… All you have to do is edit the code correctly:
Remove the <!– and //–> from this line:<em class="author"><?php the_author(); ?></em>in the single.php and index.php…BLIX has many options built in that on default are commented out. All you have to do is activate them as pleased.

In reply to: Blix in warm summer colours…thnx, had not had time yet for the validation issues, but as I see that indeed can be fixed quite easily.
On the mini’s: I did alter the css and php files for that… so still using the built-in version.
