In reply to: [Twenty Twenty] Create Full List of Posts PageThanks, Kathryn P.,
Good advice. When I finish setting up my site, and eventually grow tired of the design, I’ll move to a block theme for the added flexibility, and less mystery.
Thanks for all your help.

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty] Create Full List of Posts PageHi Kathryn P.,
I do see that image on the static home page. That works as expected.
But I also added the same image/same location to the posts page.
The image does not appear when viewing the posts page normally. (Top image in link below.)
But when viewing the same page in Edit mode, the image block I added does appear at the top of the page, along with the posts page title, All Posts. (Bottom image in link above.)
Weird, but maybe normal for dedicated posts pages.
Thanks.

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty] Create Full List of Posts PageHi Kathryn P.,
Sorry about that. Try it again when you have a chance. https://overpoetry.com/
Being able to insert an image block at the top of the page may be limitation of the posts page. Otherwise, the home page and posts page are set up as I hoped.
Thanks for any expertise you can offer.
Cheers.

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty] Create Full List of Posts PageHi Kathryn,
I did as you suggested and assigned a static homepage and a posts page.
The homepage uses an image block and a latest posts block (3 posts).
The posts page uses the same image block at the top of the page, but the view and edit functions for this page show two different pages.
When I use “View”, the page appears with all posts listed on one page but no image at the top. This is similar to the original default posts page.
When I choose “edit”, the image appears at the top but no posts are listed below the image.
I would prefer a posts page with an image at the top and all posts listed below.
I tried clearing the cache but no change.
Any help would be appreciated.

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty] Add Image to Default HomepageHi @thelmachido
Thanks for the suggestions and the help article.
I’ll most likely go the static home page and separate blog page route as they are easier to customize than the default homepage/template.

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty] Add Image to Default HomepageThanks.
I added the code with image url but that adds a repeating background image behind the posts.
I’m trying to add a set image below the default homepage header and just above the most recent blog post. The image would only appear in this position on the default homepage with the list of blog posts below the image.
I reviewed all the customize options for the theme but there is no option to add an image at the top of the page.
I may have to create a static page with a featured image, and recent posts, and designate this as the landing/homepage, though I’d prefer not to do that.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Does anyone know if the plugin “Options for Twenty Twenty” will accomplish this?- This reply was modified 2 years, 3 months ago by currentbay.

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty] Add Image to Default HomepageThanks!
With this code, the image appears behind any text blocks on the homepage?
I’m trying to add a featured image just below the homepage title, similar to this Twenty Twenty screenshot with “The New UMoMa Opens Its Doors” homepage title above a featured homepage image.
Is it possible to add an image block below the homepage title?
Any advice is appreciated.- This reply was modified 2 years, 3 months ago by currentbay.

In reply to: [Simple Author Box] Author Name Appears VerticallyThanks for your help.
I actually swapped out the Author Box plugin on the left primary menu for an image that I created with the same visual format as author box.
Problem solved and consistent across all browsers.

In reply to: [Simple Author Box] Author Name Appears VerticallyThanks.
The plugin in question is located near the bottom of the left menu on every page.
That is where the name appears vertically to the right of the author image, with each letter on top of the next.
This plugin is accessible through Appearance > Customization. The plugin’s second location, at the bottom of every post, appears as expected with name and bio to the left of the image laid out horizontally.
Sorry for prolonging this, just trying to troubleshoot an otherwise great plugin.

Did the author name appear below the author image?
For me, in Firefox, the name appears below the image but in Chrome and Edge, the name appears vertically to the right of the image.
And I can’t find any settings to address this.

The Author Box in question is located near the bottom of the vertical main page menu on the left.
Here it is.
