Sorry no one has got back to you on the forums, my fault really.

So in many cases we find users who are on low-cost shares hosting setups, with a larger site size (1GB would fall into this category) will run into trouble when trying to complete a backup due to limited server resources or PHP processes being killed.

One thing we recommend doing is to exclude a portion of your uploads directory an see if that enables you to complete a backup. Or perhaps to just exclude your entire uploads directory to ensure backups are able to be created. If so you can start including your uploads directory between several backup schedules.

I’m also not sure why you can’t delete the file, are you able to delete any file at all? I would be tempted to contact your host about this issue.

Hey there,

BackUpWordPress does indeed include images and content. Specifically this means we backup your /wp-content/uploads/ directory and we create a database dump as well.

When it comes to restoring your site, everything should work just fine presuming you’re restoring to the same domain.

I think you may have got the wrong end of the stick however, as we don’t impose any kind of size limits to BackUpWordPress. Could you tell me how/why you’ve reached this conclusion?

The premium extensions are explicitly for sending a copy of your backup to a third-party location.

It’s more likely your experiencing an issue. If you’d like to enable the support in the BackUpWordPress plugin I’d be happy to work with you to find out what’s happening.

If you’ve added your multisite to WP Remote, updating a plugin on the multisite will update for the whole network.

Thanks for writing, and it’s always best to lean on the side of caution.

BackUpWordPress will work fine on a Multisite install.

If you activate the plugin across the network you can access the backups panel from the network admin, under settings. Backups created will backup your entire network.
