In reply to: [BackUpWordPress] Inconsistent backup schedule and calculating size stuckHi Goran,
Thanks for getting in touch.
So first off, schedules in BackUpWordPress rely on the WP Cron, which is the scheduling system of WordPress. This in turn relies upon traffic to your site in order to be able to detect when scheduled events need to fire.
If you set a schedule to run at 11am, but no one visits your site from 10am till 5pm, the schedule won’t run until 5pm.
The calculating site is a common issue, but there’s not much we can do about that from our end, aside from making that functionality more robust. It’s simply the process we run to calculate the size of your site is killed. It’s not essential functionality and does not effect backups. But can at times indicate a precursor to the backup functionality having trouble completing as well.
If you have any other issues or questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us through our main support channels here: https://bwp.hmn.md/support-center/enable-support
Cheers!

In reply to: [BackUpWordPress] Problems found by BackUpWordPressHi guys,
Thanks for getting in touch, sorry for the delay in reply here.
This warning might not be preventing backups from being completed.
Can you check to see if the backups are in fact being completed and added to the table of finished backups?Cheers!

In reply to: [BackUpWordPress] Feature required – Automated Database restoringHi guys!
Thanks for the feature requests. Right now, that isn’t something on our roadmap, however, later down the line it’s certainly an integration that would benefit a lot of users.

In reply to: [BackUpWordPress] Can't activate backupwordpressHi there,
Thanks for getting in touch.
So this means there’s a fatal error in BackUpWordPress. If you enable WP_DEBUG it should spit out the error, if you could send that to me that would be great.
In addition, could you tell me the version of the plugin you’re installing and what version of PHP you’re running on your server?
Cheers!

In reply to: [BackUpWordPress] Problems with Manual BackupsHi Debbie,
Sorry for the delay.
The current version of BackUpWordPress is still incompatible with Heart Internet for manual backups. We’re looking at possible solutions.
It’s possible to get scheduled backups working however. For this you’ll need to create a cron job from your HT panel to hit the wp-cron.php.
We have a basic guide here: https://bwp.hmn.md/support-center/backupwordpress-faqs/#heart-internet but if you contact Heart Internet they maybe able to help you further.
Cheers!

Could you tell me what host your on? Sounds like your host server may not be allowing loopback connections which could cause this problem.

In reply to: [BackUpWordPress] Problem with deleting old backupsDid the setting used to be set to 10, and then you changed it to 3? Updating a setting in this way won’t delete the old backups.
If you were to delete all 10 for example, it will likely only store up to 3 afterwards.

In reply to: [BackUpWordPress] Change the location of backup?Hi there,
Thanks for getting in touch.
You can indeed, in your wp-config.php you can add a define “define( ‘HMBKP_PATH’, ‘\your\backup\path’ );”
Which will cause BackUpWordPress to store the backups there.
Cheers!

Hi guys,
For those of you who’ve upgraded, and are stuck seeing PHP Version not supported error, there are a few options.
Firstly, to regain access to your site, you’ll need to remove the BackUpWordPress Plugin via FTP. FTP into your site, and under /wp-content/plugins/ you’ll see the BackUpWordPress directory. You’ll need to delete, or rename this so it becomes inactive on your site. (If you’re not sure how to FTP into your site, contact your host who will likely have instructions for your setup).
Once this is done, you should contact your host and ask them to bump the version of PHP on your server. The minimum required by BackUpWordPress is 5.3.2, but if you can be put on a greater version then that, even better.
If your host refuses to upgrade hosts, either seek a new host, or use an old version of BackUpWordPress, I believe 2.6.2 is stable build for older versions of PHP, but please note, we don’t support older versions of PHP.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected].
Cheers!

In reply to: [BackUpWordPress] Fatal error on wp websiteI don’t think a backup will be necessary if you’re just deleting the BackUpWordPress Plugin from your site. It’s not going to break anything else.
The error doesn’t appear to be related to the SEO plugin ??
I still recommend deleting the BWP via FTP, then reinstalling it to your site from the WordPress Dashboard.
Cheers!
