The former option (set a date on a post/page/custom post type and for a notification to out on that date)

E.g. When adding the time-sensitive content in the first instance, I would set a website content expiry reminder to remove Easter Sunday Lunch on this Page that would also trigger a notification to our Website Team (users) on 10th April:

Another example, setting a similar reminder to unpublish this Valentines Day Offer Page and remove tile from main page on 15th February:

I think using Mailchimp/CRM would only make sense if we wanted to email?subscribers/site users?to our content – not as reminders to the WordPress users themselves. We want to use this feature to notify colleagues within our internal Website Team when a reminder is due.

This article about Reminders looks promising, but what is not clear is?how?users are notified to publish a Post/Page through this plugin, if not by email? Do they need to login to the CMS to be notified please?
