I just tried to install it and got the same problem. It’s 4 months later..

Edit: If, after that error message, you go to installed plugins and activate the plugin “again” (manually) it just works..

It just does not seem to work that one time when you just installed it and click on “activate plugin” below the successful install message.

Try deselecting the sitemap functionality in the WP dashboard menu, save, and then re-enable. This usually works.

Wen’t to the yoast sitemap menu. I deactivated the sitemap, saved, activated it, saved. Now it works.

10 years ago, I would have done that first. But I didn’t know the old windows fix for everything is still functional.

I am literally hovering over the buy button.

My sitemap is not working either. I just get 404 right away when I click the “xml-sitemap” button. I use the newest versions of everything.
