In reply to: Anonymous users being logged in as meI’m sorry, I forgot to mention that I am running the Kubrick-style theme. I’m wondering if this might not be an issue with the style/theme? I’ll give switching over to the 2nd style, the old wp default… maybe that will help?

In reply to: HELP!! Log-in problemsNobody has any ideas? I don’t see HOW this can be a cookie issue.. unless it is on WP’s side. The person that just commented as “Michael” on my blog, well… her name is Sonya and she lives in Colorado, and I’d changed my password at the behest of Podz’s last comment.
Is there anything I can do.. other than ditch WP and try to install MT?

In reply to: HELP!! Log-in problemsOkay, I have changed my password.. and someone else just commented on my site.. as ME.. logged in as ME.. it is the newest comment, i’m sure you’ll see it if you click on my name.
This is driving me nuts, sigh…

In reply to: HELP!! Log-in problemsJust clicked. She went to comment, actually, and it had her already logged in as me… which is the same thing that another friend of mine did… she commented and it showed up as “michael”… my wife then went and hit the link to log in on the front page of the blog, and it took her to my dashboard.

In reply to: HELP!! Log-in problemsHow would it be a cookie issue? I’m on a totally unique computer on campus, where I’ve never logged in on this blog before. Also, I had my wife on her work computer check, and it let her in too.
Weird.

In reply to: HELP!!!Yes, a total of three different machines… mine, my wife’s (at work) and a friend (in a totally different state)

In reply to: HELP!!!Well, I have an account. When I’m logged in and someone goes to post a comment, it tells them they are logged in as me. My wife and another friend were both able to navigate to a “write new entry” screen, merely by the blog telling them they were logged in as me.
And they weren’t, I was. Also, when I logged out… it still showed them the logged “in” info, and they could still get to the write/edit/ screens.
What the heck is going on????

In reply to: Archive Nested PathNo, the instructions on how to implement it say to change ‘/archives/’ in a line of code.. to show the proper nested path to my archives..
are the archives in the wp folder? should it be /wordpress/archives/ ?
or example.com/archives?
That’s what I’m wondering…Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Email NotificationOk, I had all of my profile field blank. I went back and entered info, including an email.. and still “nada”.. I post comments.. or ask people to post comments.. and I get no emails.

In reply to: Email NotificationI went into Options, then Discussion.. and it shows a check by “Email me when anyone posts a comment”.. but, I’m obviously not getting these emails. I have my admin email set.. is this the same one? Or is there somewhere else that I need to plug in an email for this “notification” email to be sent?

In reply to: Email NotificationEh, I made the name ages ago.. Space = Astronaut.. so Cyberspace=Cybernaut, etc.
Cyber will do, or even Michael (hence the M)Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Comment SpacingOk, it isn’t pretty.. but I figured out a way to do what I want. I’ll admit that I’m lame enough to have Dreamweaver uploaded while not knowing how to use it (yet)..
I just cheated and had it show me a live view of my code, until i fixed my snafu..
Hopefully i’ll learn and make my OWN CSS style soon, and won’t have to annoy all you guys..
thanks SO much though, the WP forums already seem much nicer and helpful than the MT ones ever didForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Comment SpacingUp until the newest post, all the previous posts were in my MovableType blog. All of the errors with the apostrophes and such, are something that happened in the port over.
So, there is no simple easy fix to this comment question, right? I’ve added the break tags, and nada…
I haven’t the foggiest clue how or where to add any buffer or margin tags…
Are the wordpress comments supposed to have all of that exposed code look, like it did when it was default? What is the purpose of it? All I wanted was a nice clean design, which is why I stupidely deleted it ??Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Comment SpacingBtw, thanks for all the answers so far.
