Quick update. I have found a work around by using in the post edit tool a block called “More”.

Though, I think that the challenge that I have encountered could have maybe a better solution ?
Over to you guys. I am happy to test things out to solve this “excerpt not showing with the post format video” issue. ??

Thank you for your recommendation. I have download code snippet to add the piece of PHP to my site.
the PHP works, however the result looks like the standard post, my video is disappearing and only part of the text is showing.

Ideally, I would like to get a result where the video is showing but only part of the text is shown.

Thank you for your suggestion, I have learn something new through it.

Thank you for your help and sorry to come back to you late.

I have tried to set the post as standard and that is not quite the result that I was hoping for. The text now is small but the video has disappeared. I have tried to set the post as image and I obtain the same results as when it is set to video.

Is there anything else that I could try ?

I went in customize>layout>Blog and set it up on excerpt, the post is still showing fully.

What should I do next ?

Thank you for your advice I have tested the plugins in trouble shooting mode.
It seems that I have an issue when I enable the following plugin : 404 to 301 – Redirect, Log and Notify 404 Errors
