If you take the purpose of phpsuexec to heart, then you would think that having the permission of 755 on the folders would be enough for your scripts to create new directory (as you) and store files in there.

The fact that you have to use 777 to get this to work would indicate that perhaps phpsuexec isn’t configured properly..

Having to go back and forth of changing the directory permissions can get tired very quickly.

For starters, you have the wrong “type” for CSS markup. It needs to be ‘type=”text/css”>’.

You may want to go to your admin panel, Options->Writing and uncheck “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” if it is set.

Try again and see what happens.

Short of that, you may want to add any POST specific styles that you normally use in your “style.css” file for your theme..

Hmm, I take it that you haven’t been playing with WP for very long.

In your admin panel..Options->Reading, the first section does exactly what you want.

The .htaccess files are specific to each directory, so you would need one inside /blog.

Go to Options->Permalink to have WP generate one specific to WP and it’s structure.

In most cases, it’s as simple as calling “get_sidebar()” in the single.php and page.php files, but without getting pointers to where the theme is located and so on, we can’t be of much help.
